Nodame Cantabile: reading the manga after seeing the anime?

So I've watched the anime series, and I consider it one of my favorite series of all time. I'm a classical music nerd, along with enjoying a good romance and a good comedy. Nodame Cantabile was almost too much for me (in a good way). :P
My question is really for those who've read the manga and seen the anime: does the story in the manga rival the power that the anime had in the combination of excellent music and plot? Since I've seen the show, should I read the manga now too?

Personally? No. Don't read the manga.
The manga is good. In fact it's a lot better than most of the anime in the sense that the anime wasted a lot of time with nothing but static scenes where they were just playing music over a few lines of monologue...
...but the anime gives a very distinct sense of closure and completeness. It ends on a heartwarming note and lets you imagine the rest.
The manga, as far as I know, is still running. Meaning more and more stuff gets stacked on top of that.
Personally, I'm a fan of shorter, more intense and complete feeling series than long and drawn out series.
If you don't feel the same, then by all means read the manga. As I said, it's still good.

The anime (which I haven't seen) does have the advantage of actually being able to play sound when you're watching it and since the manga is about music that is a plus.

I loved this anime, I also thought they finished it well, but left it open enough for a movie or something. I doubt I'll read the manga though.

To be Honest I didn't search much if there were any other topics concerning Nodame Cantabile and it didn't matter much because I made this thread so I would be able to talk to you guys about what I found amazing while reading once more the series.
While reading the manga I just listened to every passage or concerto or fugue (you name it) that was listed. It brings a whole new setting or feeling to the series. I was wondering if any of you liked classical music and if Nodame Cantabile brought that to you.
Tell me what you think of it.
Edit: Made a topic and it was locked beacause this topic was still alive. Just tell me what you think about it. I haven't watched much of the anime;(I've moslty just read up to date on the manga)
