Code Geass 2010:New Season, Movie, or OVA??????
0
So a little while ago an annoucement was made saying that in 2010 a new Code Geass project would be revealed. So here's my question to you, in your opinion will this be the 3rd season, a movie, or an OVA? I also have a picture in Japanese for this, if anyone can translate it to shed some light on this, it would be very appriceated.

Code Geass: Renya of the Blackness
The story takes place in the same official Code Geass history as the anime, but in a different era. The title character, Renya, is a 17-year-old boy with a mechanical left arm and shuriken throwing stars as his weapons of choice. The story begins when Renya encounters a mysterious, perpetually young witch named "Reifū C.C." C.C. has appeared in Japan's historical Edo era to seek a new partner for a covenant. Meanwhile, a mysterious man, with a striking resemblance to the character Lelouch of the original anime, also appears with unknown intentions.
The new manga is part of next year's new Code Geass project launch. Code Geass producer Yoshitaka Kawaguchi revealed on the franchise's website that the new project will feature the simultaneous releases of serialized comics, music, new products under development, and visual works.
I hope this helps my friend :D.

But Zeriam, that's only one of the new projects. There will most likely be an anime as well, according to ANN.

Do not challenge the Knight of Skittles Imperial when it comes to CG announcements :D.

Yes, yes it does. BTW you must share your sources with me. I spent way to much time looking for info and turned up nothing.

Sounds pretty retarded to me.
:(
Sounds like a bad fanfic where the author wanted it to take place in Feudal Japan and still have advanced technology.

Agreed. This time it's a bit un-awesome.

^ Same here as well. It's like they're milking the Code Geass franchise for all it's worth here. Same looks, same CC, tweak the storyline and transport it to the feudal era. Looks like a budding multi-story franchise to me.
But if the anime and manga could compensate for that with a compelling story spread out nicely, I'm all eyes and ears for it.
Looking forward to it.

I really really hope this doesn't suck. I have a bad feeling though.Though I hate to admit it, I think it's safe to say that it will suck.

Who knows, I don't think it will.
Maybe the first part or first few episodes, anime or movie whichever it's gonna be, will probably suck, but you'll get hooked half way through I'm sure.
Edit: Though the whole "Ninja stars as his weapon." Sounds kinda retard when he has a mechanical arm...

Hmmm... doesn't look that impressive. I was hoping that it would be an OVA that relates directly to the events that took place in R2's last episode or like, a beach episode but it seems to be a big letdown for me.

Lots of pessimists in here :/
Anyways, I am looking forwards to this as well as other Geass related releases.

I'd say the most important thing about this manga is that we should learn about CC past some more.
