I thought the ending was ok, could have been way better,

Weird I just recently finished watching Fate Stay Night. I gotta say that Archer was definitely the coolest hero out of the 8 of them. I still kinda wonder who he was though... Anyway the ending really did suck and I thought Saber was the weakest person in that whole anime. In nearly every friggin fight she had to get help from someone else to win. She almost never was able to beat ANYONE without her hand held. Yet she's the most powerful hero. HAH :x

Shirou is a dumbass. He tried to get himself killed every single episode.

lol :lol: but he always survive(thanks to the scabbard) unlike kenny(south park) who gets killed in every episode :P

The anime was ok. But if you really want to know the whole bit of the story you should get the animated novel. It has the reasons for why Archer= older more badass Shiro and another holy grail war.(From what I've read) I think theres a translation group editing it right now. The video games do have a bit of lore to it also from what I've read.


Edit: The translations hould be done in about 1 month at the pace theyre going.

Doesn't anyone think archer is robin hood? He's great with daggers, was rather intelligent, and plus whenever he used a nobel phantasm he spoke in english mostly. Plus, his warrior class was archer. I think they purposely dropped other hints to imply that.

I'm playing the game right now, and I'm thinking of taking the Heaven's Feel path first, because I read things about Sakura that are quite... shocking. What I usually do is play all the paths simultaneously, continuing on the one I feel like, but Sakura's path, at first glance, seems to be the most interesting.

I started playing the F/SN game a while ago. I couldn't really get into it, maybe because I already know a lot of the things that happen so the incredibly long and uneventful build up became unbearable... Then again, if I didn't know that it gets good eventually I don't think I'd be able to bother getting through the intro in that case, either. Oh well, either way it's still on my metaphorical "to do" list.

It actually says elsewhere in this thread who he actually is so if you don't want to know I'd leave this thread very quickly! I had a similar thing with Saber. It seemed to me that she was Joan of Arc. Her clothes and general stuffy, dutiful persona really implied that (not to mention her gender) but the key thing to figuring out Saber's identity is the fact that she almost always conceals her sword.

No, that's not how it works. Depending on what choices you make at the beginning of the game, the story will branch out to one of the three arcs. So what I meant was I'd have multiple save files, so I can play whichever path I feel like playing.

Speaking of which, I found that some Chinese programmers are working on a version of FSN with voice acting and extra CGs taken from the PS2 version. Apparently it's already complete, but seems to be full of bugs. Shouldn't take too long though.

well chinese translation is always the slowest to surface but they never die...

I finally got that voice acting version set up!!

I ripped a sample to show you guys. First part is at the beginning of the game, a conversation between Shirou and Sakura. The second part is a conversation between Rin, Saber, and Shirou.

That video has accomplished 2 things for me.
1. Increase my desire to learn Japanese
2. Pray that the translation gets out.
