I remember saying enough when they announced Savers because Frontier was bad, but I decided to give it a chance. I watched Savers, totally liked it. It was awesome, it was totally different from previous 4 seasons, but still retains the digimon feel to it. So this news is an awesome one to me. Can't wait for July.

Digimon lovers or haters or meh-ers, post away. What do you think about this?

p/s: in all fairness, I admit, I don't really like seeing another goggles, but whatever.

Wow, memories. Used to love this show. They're making a new one? I'll give it a shot, for old times sake.

Dear God the digimon they've shown so far looks horrible. They just need to stop making more Digimon. Season 1 and 2 were the only good ones, afterward it just went downhill.

Oh, hell no. Season 2 was fucking terrible and makes Frontier look like a masterpiece in comparison. Like half the bullshit (WTF?! Daemon?!) made in season 2 didn't get wrapped up and the return of Myotismon really cheapened the whole thing. Coupled with the first gen. characters being rather useless (with random relationships to boot), it was a total clusterfuck.

Anyway, the 6th season looks like it will keep the Digimon tradition of having horrible even-numbered seasons.

I only liked the first half of the 2nd season. It was much better than most of the other stuff.

I agree, season 2 was bad. Very very bad. Cheap villains, totally random evo, kids going emo, and not to mention the relationships. Lol'd at the Frontier comparison, as much as I don't like Frontier, it's true, 02 is worse. The only good thing about it was that it taught bandai to never make sequels ever again.

Savers was really awesome, indeed. This new one however, doesn't look appealing to me in the slightest, I must admit. I will still probably check it out regardless though. Maybe it will surprise me.

I liked all the digimon series. My fav was Tamers and second fav was Frontier. I dont really get why people hated frontier so much.

I'm sticking to season one since after i watched the second season i thought it's kinda degrading on the quality side but i stopped watching after the third season since it was like.........."WTF RAGEEE this is not digimon!"

Oooooh...I guess that one was ok, but it still wasn't great. I wouldn't ever watch it again for nostalgia factor.

1st season was godlike, 2nd season sucked, third season was good, 4th season was ridiculous bullshit, 5th season was good, 6th season? We'll see. If its even close to the level of the first season, it will be amazing

Season one is not that great actually to be honest. It's no better than Tamers story-wise. Sure, it has this special appeal of being the first Digimon ever, but that's like saying "I watched Pokemon season one and not others because it just went downhill afterwards!" when there was no real change in quality whatsoever.

The only bad thing about Savers imo is the art. Somehow I think it was less... neat than the previous 4 seasons.

The problem with Frontier was that none of the characters had any real motive. It was more like Pokemon (or a random JRPG featuring protagonists without parents) than Digimon. The kids were just traveling from place to place without any attachments. They had no motive for saving the world other than "It's the right thing to do!". And despite featuring a far smaller cast than the previous seasons, there wasn't any real good interactions between the characters. One of the good things with the previous seasons was seeing how the parents would react to the kids getting neck deep in this stuff and adjusting to the strange creatures that were suddenly coming out of the woodwork. Let's not forget that Frontier also had Wargreymons (or some other Mega-level) walking around doing NOTHING.
