Edit: Pretty interesting. No Eva's in the first chapter. An angel shows up though. There might not be any "mechas" in this series.

I've just finished the first chapter, and my thoughts are Asuka and Rei are still hot and Kaoru is still (possibly) gay.

Oh yeah, I read about this somewhere a while ago. I'm pretty sure they're going to release an anime adaptation.

They better not fuck up. I had this premonition of a bunch of Evangelion fans rioting (myself included) if and when this fucks up. So Min Nemuri better not fuck this up.

Chapter 2 just came out, and it's awesome. The story is completely different from the original, it's pretty much taking the story premise and the names and presenting it in a whole different manner.

I really hope they don't mess this up. I'll definitely be rioting with aznstoner if they do! :twisted: But for now it seems like a pretty good manga with a solid foundation for a story. I hope they start releasing more chapters quickly. I am curious on how they are going to go with this.

Still gotta admit though. I always favored Rei over Asuka. Asuka is definitely one of the top 10 hottest anime characters but Rei just seems cooler to me.

That's one thing I hope they don't screw up, the relationship between Shinji, Rei, and Asuka. I honestly have high hopes for this series and even though I would like some closure as to who hooks up with who. I'd rather have them be forever in a love triangle that has never been concluded since the original. (Same sentiment goes for the Rebuild of Evangelion)

I've read the first two chaps, definitely different. I'm a big eva fan and I've never envisioned eva as anything other than a mecha-anime so I'm a bit apprehensive about this one. We'll see... maybe this'll be a good milk from the NGE franchise

I don't care who he ends up with. I've had closure with the Angelic Days manga.

Chapter three has been scanlated. For a moment, I forgot that this wasn't a doujin, due to the (possibly unintentional) Persona 3 reference. But so far, this looks to be a better AU storyline than the rest.

I have high hopes for this. I honestly can't wait to hear how the story plays out. And, of course, the anime is obviously gonna follow, and that's where it's really gonna shine.

This looks promising. I can't wait to read it.

I should've figured it out....

I'm not sure about the mech part, but, considering it's Shinji, he just might contemplate doing that.

I don't know if its just me, but it feels as though Shinji might actually have guts this time around compared to Evangelion.
