So is there anyone else that's really excited about this game?
This game looks really awesome and the graphics looks awesome too and to be able to cut almost everything and everyone in the way you want seems awesome.
I'm a huge MGS fan so i will definitely be buying this game.

I am sooo looking forward to the game. I absolutely love what the game is looking is looking like and I love the concept of how you can cut anything in the game.
I have been, and will continue, keeping my eye on this game as it reaches it's finish. This is easily a must buy game, for me.
Also, here is an interview where they talk about the cutting concept more: http://www.gametrailers.com/video/e3-2010-metal-gear/700659
The game is going to take place between MGS 2 and MGS 4, btw.

I want to play through an entire game just cutting people's rifles in half. Not killing them or doing any lethal damage. Only cutting their rifles/weapons in two to disarm them.

LOL The first time I heard of this 'Lightning Bolt Action'
I was like DMC + MGS = ? no way won't work
but then came E3...I can't call myself an true MGS fan if I ignored this, despite its radical departure from the series' style

Its not a radical departure per say as according to an interview, the mentioned there are stealth parts, just that they will be alot faster.I am guessing its along the lines of tenchu kinda stealth.

It's gonna be hard to imagine Raiden being stealthy looking like that. At least in MGS4 his artificial body was was close to normal body size.

Did they just sacrifice stealth for gore? It looks like Raiden will be better off dashing and slicing his enemies into edible pieces since he doesnt have to worry about bullets... Is that bullet time i see there?

When is the first time you ever started with stealth camo equiped and usable?
None
The one thing I'll miss is my Box. No box for Raiden.....
They would have shown it in a trailer if he could. I'll miss the way kojima makes his MGS trailers, so great.

when was it ever that you got to play as a cyborg ninja?
never except MGS VR missions and he had stealth camo equipped.Raiden in MGS 2 doesnt count as he was not the ninja.
could explain why MGS peace walker has a shit load of boxes(ambulance, tanks etc lol)

from what i recall, raiden doesnt even have stealth camo o.o;; even in MGS4.
I'd guess stealth would be classical MGS style. Raiden didnt look so big so its possible. im assuming bullet time + stealth camo (if it will exist) have their limits, or its no longer a game.
seems to me like raiden has a ranged weapon too; and i doubt that raiden is bullet proof >>; he may be a cyborg, but if daggers can stab him, why cant bullets?
either ways, any MGS game is a must get for me =p no questions asked

eh,you're right.I cant recall raiden having any sort of stealth camo at all.
At most he can defect bullets?lol
The earlier concept arts had him holding fortune's railgun

I can understand the slowing down time for custom cutting. I mean you have to take time to instruct Raiden where to cut and when and that takes time. If you were cutting yourself you wouldn't need the slow down, but to precisely aim a cut in that time would make the system a bit shaky and awkward to use for my tastes. If you watch the trailer it only seems to slow down for custom cuts, and it will speed up right after the cut is made if you are not already planning another. The only thing I am unhappy about at the start is now I have to make a new MGS hat.

It looks awsome, and there's a high enough chance I'll get it if it comes for the PC. The only thing that I don't really like about it, is that they put a female as the main character... Don't get me wrong, I love alot of animes and movies that have female lead characters, but in games I just feel like playing a male, in order to better emerge myself in it.

@argentine: about fortune's railgun, he does have it, re-watch the E3 trailer, its mounted on his back during the "cyborg slash cutscene" ;p thats why i mentioned a ranged weapon.

.... raiden is a guy o.o;; his name is jack....
a guy no longer he is now an it that aside would you really use the range weapons?
using the 'CUT' feature seems more enjoyable

yea, i normally very seldom use ranged weapons >>; in AC4, my main bot is dual blades, in LP2 i always use the melee attack of the gunsword, etc etc xD
but, im sure there will be times where ranged is necessary (e.g. unreacheable targets, flying enemies, etc). =p id prefer it actually if there were some enemies that are better off using ranged on, gives it a more tactical approach, rather than hack and slash xD
