My god, am I looking foward to this game.
You play as amnesiac Alex Mercer in the Sandbox of New York. Alex has superhuman speed, strength, and durability, as well as the abilities of consuming his fallen enemies, shapeshifting his body.
When Alex consumes someone, he gains their memories, their body mass, and the ability to mimic their appearance. He also consumes useful skills, eventually giving him the proficiency to pilot military vehicles and use various kinds of weaponry. Consuming dead foes and innocent bystanders augments Alex's biomass, enhancing his strength and his ability to morph his body into offensive or defensive forms. Each person he consumes becomes another form he can use as a disguise. According to Radical, there will be 750 "unique combinations" of powers.
Alex's movement is based on free running. Alex will automatically manuver around or through obstacles, allowing the player to move him more easily with the simplified movement controls. It'll also look pretty cool when he's doing these manuvers.
So, anyone else looking forward to this.

Yeah I've been looking forward to this one for a while. Can't decide if I'm gonna play this game all sneaky or go on a mad rampage. They both sound like a lot of fun.

In this game, I'm gonna be as sneaky as I possibly can. but when people see me, I always feel the need to kill them, which attracts more people, so I always go on a mad rampage no matter what :3

I have this game on my list it sounds extremely fun going on a rampage like in GTA, but except with super powers.

Wow up to 750 power combinations that would be sweet. The whole free running thing might be a bit of a publicity thing just to get attention. That mirrors edge game look more like real free running.

GAME, MINE NAO.
Seriously, I like sandbox environments, and this reminds me of Crackdown+GTA somewhat :)

looks great and just the fact that its been delayed makes me think that they are trying to make sure everything works just right. one thing im wondering about is how fluid the transformations will be. like if you can just do it on the fly or if you have to sit there and like let it work or what. cause the idea of being knocked to hell when im trying to make a change is kinda annoying. as long as they either set it to like a special thing that cuts to a short cinema thing or they do it so you can change it on the fly i think itll be fine.

With how many games were ruined by time constraints, my new philosophy with games is just to wait, focus on other things and when it comes, it shall be good. Too many failed rush games ewwww.
Honor the Fallen: Halo 2, Halo 3, Ninja Gaiden 2, Fable, Army of Two, Gears of War (for starters)

ok well i must disagree with you because i thought halo 3, army of two, and gears of war were great games. sorry you cant have perfection in every title.

I didn't expect perfection. I am only bringing up those games because the developers promised so much to be included that wasn't because of time constraints. Army of Two was a great game, for example. I loved it. However, I didn't love the exclusion of all vehicles but the hovercraft from single play. I didn't like a 6 mission campaign that can be completed in 3 hours even o Professional. And, I didn't like the fact that the only co-op maneuvers you could do at any time with another player was co-op snipe and weapon trade. Not even ammo trade was included. It was a great game, but so much more was promised than delivered. Halo...I don't even wanna go into how many things they had to leave out because of time.

Strange, I really like all of those games.
I think that in a video game, it is impossible not to be disapointed somewhere, when you look at a game from what you truely wanted it to be if you were anticipating it. Every game has its short comings somewhere, even if it may be good practicly everywhere else.

I'm incedibly sycked for this game too! Too bad it won't come out untill next year. :(I know right! Man that trailer seriously put me in awe of this game's potential. I played spider-man 2 and I loved it for its travel and how u could do cool things like run on walls and swing with style and then I saw that trailer. I had my mouth open through most of the trailer of Prototype cause I just had to experience the awesomeness of doing the same thing in spider-man 2 but a hell of a lot better and with awesome powers one can only dream of.

it kind of gave me the parkour feeling that mirrors edge is certainly boasting, but with a much different emphasis on its role within the game. it seems to be more about overwhelming the opposition with espionage and sheer calamity. i wasnt to crazy for the absorbtion idea but it certainly changes the pace for the sandbox genre, its like snakes octocamo but instead of taking a similar appearance you literally TAKE the appearance. the powers seem pretty sweet and ive heard rumour of co-op or some kind of multiplayer capability... that could be alotta fun. im sure any important additions will be revealed in the awesomeness of e3, its been one day already and i cant believe the updates.
