The story centers around Tsukimi Kurashita, a huge fan of jellyfish (kurage, a wordplay on the "kura/mi" and "tsuki/ge" in her name) and a girl who moves to Tokyo to become an illustrator. She moves into "Amamizukan," an apartment complex that is full of fujoshi (diehard female otaku) with a no-men-allowed rule. However, one day, Tsukimi invites a stylishly fashionable woman to stay at her room at Amamizukan — only to discover that the guest is not who "she" seems to be.The art style is what really caught my interest, I'll be looking forward to seeing the first few episodes of this anime in hopes that it will turn out to be something good. It is stated that 11 episodes are going to be aired, so it will be a short (hopefully sweet) anime. I did enjoy what I saw when I skimmed through the manga, but as I already have 13 ongoing manga, I'll just wait for the animated series.

I definitely agree with you there. I find both the premise and the art style to be appealing. I can't wait for a trailer to come out. :)

Good catch. This, I would have made the thread myself in case you didn't. I can't help but notice though, what's up with the x-mas tree?

I can't help but notice though, what's up with the x-mas tree?I tried to use the image located in the opening post as the thread image, however; it annoyed me that the image was positioned in relation to the entire webpage and not the thread, thus my centered text looked off and that erks me. As there is no way to delete the thread image once it's posted, I thought it would be silly to have the image doubled and thus changed it to a tree (it happened to pertain to the conversation I was having with a few friends of mine in the house at the time). I suppose I could have just used a white image, but it seems that trees catch peoples interest ;)
Edit: Topic post updated. - The manga was nominated for the 3rd Manga Taisho Awards, and Higashimura was already honored with nominations during the first two years of the awards for her earlier Himawari - Kenichi Legend and Mama ha Tenparist works.

Nice 1st episode! Very shocking at the end, of course but I like it^^!
Seems like another anime focus on real lives of otaku, eg. Welcome to NHK.
Hope the story is good.
