Fortune Arterial

I am kinda surprised that no one has started an anime thread for Fortune Arterial, especially since its visual novel counterpart can be considered quite a success.

On the other hand, anime adaptations of visual novels can either be huge successes or receive lots of criticisms from viewers. Of course, I do hope that all shows will go down well with viewers, but such a scenario isn't always possible in reality, even if all members of the production put in hard work.

In any case, I digress. Fortune Arterial's storyline focuses on Kohei Hasekura, who attends a high school located on a off-shore island, accesible only by boat. Along the way, he gets to meet his fellow students, notably Erika Sendo, whom he discovers is a vampire. Will love blossom between Kohei and Erika? What other adventures lie ahead of Kohei?

Who else will give visual novels to anime adaptations a chance?

Yea I know right? I'd have thought someone else would have made this thread already, *shrugs* whatever, of course I plan to watch this, and I will most likely love it, I am only curious what story there doing, no doubt Erika's route, and the true games ending right?

So far, I've gotten much enjoyment from VN -> Anime series. ^^

As long as it's not as awful as Rosario+Vampire then I'll be watching this for sure. Sounds interesting enough.

I find VN adaptation's are usually quite good, I find myself enjoying them a lot, then again I've spoilt myself with the likes of Clannad.

Don't worry, this is not your generic Vampire harem.

it involves a much deeper mysterious theme, that has a nice moderate level of mindfuck....IF THEY ADAPT IT RIGHT~~~

Well colour me even more interested, this fall season is getting better and better.

Story sounds good, and the pictures look great as well.

I'm looking forward to its anime adaptation, hopefully it won't fizzle out.

Oh wait, this is an August work, its not gonna have the same issue Yoake Mae did animation wise (after 3 episodes) will it?

Ah, that's good to know. I was thinking the same thing myself, so hopefully this series will turn out better than expected.

yea I know that much, just when I first heard Augus't VN Fortune Arterial was going to be an anime, i thought of Feena's anime and remembered some good, and.....bad things, can you blame me for it?

A trailer has been released, and I must say that it looks pretty interesting so far.

Looks good, especially for an eroge adaptation.

Of course, I'd watch it anyway, on premises that it is Fortune Arterial.

I want to watch it but I honestly want to play the game first to avoid spoilers,but the translations on a stall =( so pass for now.

Personally, I thought Shukufu no Campanella was rather well-done, but it seems like the anime title wasn't very popular among viewers. Hopefully, Fortune Arterial will not be left in the dust for the Autumn 2010 season.

It's obvious though, since "western" anime watchers doesn't play untranslated VN, and they always forget that these anime are made by Japan for Japan. Look at Sengoku Basara for example, it's clearly an underrated anime in the western community, but in Japan itself, it's a whole other cult.

for Fortune Arterial, I just hope they'll stick closely to the true route.

Let me rephrase then. Most Western anime watchers who doesn't understand Japanese or even try to and doesn't play Untranslated VNs.

they bash Shukufu no Campanella like trash, treated Amagami worst than School Days, and think that Pure Romance Story sucks (To Heart, Shuffle, Da Capo).

Thanks for the rephrase, and for the record, I've nvr used MAL or even registered or whatever it is I need to do there. I loved Shukufuku anime, game well with out translation proved difficult for me, I love Amagami and its no where near the same as School Days nor worse in any way, Pure Romance are my favs, I've seen all those with the exception of Da Capo because at time I found it to be very slow >_> *sry to DaCapo lovers*

OT: I will also be happy to see Haruna and Kanade's antics, there comic relief at the right times (I hope) will prove very entertaining.
