Ga-Rei: Zero

Since I didn't found this series on the masterlist, I'd like to start a thread.
This series is not that new, being aired on 2008, it provides the backrgound of the manga which is called Ga-Rei, by background I mean, a more in depth-story of two of the main protagonists.
Manga Spoiler.
The anime provides the background to all of this, and it's actually a quite good show, despite its short length (12 episode series are too short) you will come to enjoy it and become familiar with its characters, who, provided with awesome voice acting will make most of you keen on reading the manga.
Now I know this post is not as eloquent as many others out there, and perhaps more than one person will reply: "All your grammer are belong to us". I apologize, english is not my mother tongue, and the whole purpose of this thread is to actually answer a question which is:

Waaaat!? I can't believe there wasn't a thread for this show already...
Personally, I loved this Anime. I was one of the people who actually watched this show before reading the manga (which is the equivalent of seeing the new star wars movies before seeing the original trilogy). It was still excellent, but whether or not you've read the manga, it starts off confusing. If you stick with it, it becomes clear and quite interesting where the story is going.
I REALLY wish they would animate the actual manga.
[color=red]Word of warning: Since this anime is a prequel, reading the very first manga chapter of this series will spoil the ending of the anime for you.

I remember this show...a few scenes stand out in my mind. The first episode was excellent.

I started watching this a long time ago but I dropped it at the 4th or 5th episode for some reason I forgot. But as far as I remember, this anime had its qualities.

As awesome as it probably is, I dropped it after episode one, due to episode one being a giant troll episode. Seriously, they get you so pumped up for nothing...

The anime isn't half bad, the manga is decent, however I feel a lot of untapped potential there.

I loved the manga, but I liked the anime even more. The first episode was awesome and arguably the best introduction I've seen in awhile. Yomi is the main reason I kept watching the show. Hot and badass is a great combination.

I always tell my friends who haven't seen this to just watch the first two episodes then stop, just cause the first two eps carry so much momentum. I haven't read the manga, but I loved this anime. Maybe I'll go and read it later.

The later episodes get pretty intense because you see the conflict between characters on the verge of exploding. Also, there are "down" episodes because this is a prequel that assumes you've seen the manga, so the purpose was to explain Yomi's past and why her cousin cares for her so much in the manga.
