Vampire Knight

Cross Academy is attended by two groups of students: the Day Class and the Night Class. At twilight, when the students of the Day Class return to their dorm, they cross paths with the Night Class on their way to school. Yuki Cross and Zero Kiryu are the Guardians of the school, there to protect the Day Class from the Academy's dark secret: the Night Class is full of vampires.

I started reading this right before the anime came out. It started out interesting, but as the story progressed...I don't know...to "shoujo" for me.

lol Tsujoi, was it the brother sister complex that got you rattled or the emotional backgrounds of the family's quarrel? :lol:

I think it was just the love story in general.

I enjoy the fact that Vampire Knight makes you think about what is happening. It isnt something that you just sit back and enjoy. It has a deeper more elegant feel to it.

It also helps to show that vampires are not all bad evil beings.
In today's society it is becoming more acceptable for teenagers to accept vampires as something to love rather than to fear. Vampire Knight definitely shows that side.

I thought it was deemed shoujo by the people o.O
anyway im pretty confused with the story now, not making any sense to me
and i cant tell between the twins..

Lol seems this thread has some spider webs on it. I think the series is starting to die down now. Not really going anywhere.

But are more chapters still coming out?

the publisher took them so long to release new episode thats why VK fanatics were faiding i think

Not sure if anyone still keeping up with this manga, but the latest chapters have been pretty dramatic at least in my opinion. Yuki has made a decision to stop the bitter and senseless fighting that occurs amongst purebloods. However not every single one of the purebloods agree with her actions and some are against it.

Is it me, or is the series getting kinda stupid lately? I a huge drama/romance fan, but it's starting to drag its own feet. What do you guys think?

The manga was better than the anime because some parts of the manga weren't included in the anime that's why i liked the manga more^^
