Ok here we go.
I notice that there was no thread about this anime so i decided to make 1.It all started because of that SRW thing in the mech and robot section.
Anyways. The anime was very good.It had some similarities with the Neon Genesis Evangelion but it has it's own uniquity and story. Also has some mind buggling parts to the story so if you're gonna watch this anime then prepare for a mind buggling head twisting story.
For those who have already watch he anime. Then post of what you think about it in here.
One thing does get to me is that it's similarity with the NGE.I ain't angry with it.ain't happy with it also.I'm just a fan of it.

Even ignoring the Eva-ness of RahXephon, it is a very good series in its own right. And because it isn't plagued by production troubles like Eva, a wider range of people are more likely to enjoy it. RahXephon still requires the viewer to think about things a bit, but its not as mind-warping as Eva.

I remember I liked it, but I don't remember ANYTHING about it. Well, I think there was a robot. And some blue blood. But that's it. I swear.

I couldn't help but think of Eva while watching it, there are way too many similarities.

Yup.Dolemn as Angels.Rahxephon as Eva Unit 1.Vermilion Series as the Eva Series.wew.there really are some similarities.1 part is when Rah was fighting this Dolemn and he was like sinking to this other dimension.Same with Eva fighting the Ball like angel then sinking Eva to another dimension.well but Rahxephon has its own unique story. And the ending. The ending of Eva was that Shinji didn't change the world. While in Rahxephon.Ayato changed the world.Anyways try watching the whole series.Rahxephon is boring in the beginning.Mind buggling in the middle and was understood at the ending.

Those weren't ripped off of Evangelion though. Those came from Raiden...a series that predates Eva by 2 decades. Yes there where many similarities that where homages and ripp offs of Eva plot line. Not that many though, just as much as most Robot shows after Evangelion

Watching RahXephon makes me rather emo a bit...
It's a great anime but some episodes are depressing... heh, I'm so senstive...

The ending of Eva was that Shinji didn't change the world.assimilating all of humanity into a single conciousness ISN'T changing the world??

No he didn't.He was given the choice to change the world according to his own liking but then he didn't choose that path.Let's say he did change and the turnout would be in a part in epi 25 or 26.The part where Shinji lives a normal life.Misato as their teacher.Yui is alive.Rei as his normal classmate.

This is my favorite series. I loved the unique artwork, I loved the symbolism, I loved the romance, I loved the psychological elements and I loved how Shinji had no part in this. It does have many connections to Eva, but it was A LOT easier to understand and had it's own great twists that made it better than Eva.

Lol, true, but the director didn't intend the movie to be the real ending. He just threw the movies out there because the fans were sending him death threats and stuff on how they hated the ending of the series so he made a movie. So we're talking about wierd chello ending being the ending for Eva. >.>

I hated rahxephon too...It has nothing new or cool about it. Even the mechas are saltless.I don't know how to respond to this without flaming you, so I'll say this, I liked the mecha design, the show was good, the music was enchanting, Yoko Kanno is a goddess, centralizing a show on her musical prowess was a great choice in script. Tragedies were tragic, fan service was fun, artwork was beautiful. So it's only in a matter of opinion I guess, but I liked Rahxephon, it's one of my favorites.
I guess another thing the show has in common with NGE is the range of opinions.
