For people who hasn't seen the first season, heres some info on it:
Ichigo Mashimaro follows the life of Nobue Itoh, her younger sister Chika, and her friends. The basic premise of the show can be summed up in "cute girls do cute things in cute ways", be it trying to quit smoking, going outside to play, celebrating a holiday, or doing school work.
A second season of Ichigo Marshimaro?! Definetly can not wait! Who doesn't like cute little girls doing random stuff? :lol:

Oh wow, can't believe I hadn't heard this yet. I loved the first season, one of my fav slice of life/comedy shows of recent memory. Thanks for the heads up.

I actually just re-watched the OAV's last night, to remind myself how adorably awesome and cute and funny they were. Matsuri-chan getting her revenge and beating up Micchan is such a great and hilarious moment. Oh, and the music they played when Micchan was face down a bunch of times in I think episode 2 was so perfectly amusing.

FYI, after re-reading that news post it doesn't look like we're getting a full second season, just a second set of OAV's. Better than nothing though.
In addition to a second ef television anime series, a second Ichigo Mashimaro (Strawberry Marshmallow) original video anime project was announced at the Rondo Robe 2008 event at Tokyo's Shibuya ward.

really theres gonna be another OVA cause when i watched ichigo mashimaro on veoh i got surprised cause there were 3 ovas and then i found another 2 ovas hidden but i watched it about 2 months ago and i cant seem to find the extra 2 ovas anymore
