Remake to Birdy the Mighty:

Tsutomu, an average middle school kid busy studying for the final exams to enter high school runs into a man running from someone and gets caught up in the chase. In all the confusion he is accidentally gets killed. Luckily Birdy (an interplanetary agent) knows a way to save him, unfortunately that means joining bodies to become one. So now he is stuck with this officer and along for the ride capturing criminals and saving lives.

The person who did the character design worked on TTGL so our female protagonist has an appearance akin to Yoko.

First epi got me hooked, definately going to watch this.

Her suit reminds me somehow of this :wink: :



Watched the first Ep. as well, seems interesting to me.

13 planned, first episode came out 2/3 days ago, it's a new series so there you go.

I'm liking the ED, song by Afromania - Let's go Together, hopefully there's an album to go with that.

Is their a manga to this?

yes, the anime is a remake of an OVA from the manga, so it's pretty old.

I think it started serialization in 1996 for about 2 volumes, then restarted in 2003 and is still going up to 19 vol. Can't seem to find them myself though.

I've always wondered if masturbation ever became an issue. Considering Birdy and Tsutomu's situation I would think there would be some problems that would arise.

I'm watching this. I'm really looking forward to the next episode.

Watched the first two episodes and so far I like it.

For some reason since I watched the first episode this has been the anime that I've been most impatient to have new episodes get subbed for.

watched the first episode, can't really give a big review on the series after only watching the first episode, but from what i've seen, the beginning was exciting enough and the story has plenty of potential... hope the subbers are alittle bit faster...

Oh man looks like the Fansub groups aren`t very motivated to Sub Birdy, or does anybody know in which intervalls the Ep. airs in Japan ?
Also did anybody watched the 3 Episode from AoShen and can tell me something about the Quality ?

I was kind of excited to see another group pick it up (Apparently, I-Z is still doing it, but real life problems are slowing things down). Unfortunately, AoShen, while they may have good intentions, have horrible video quality. Considering that this anime stands out for its rather high-end animation, it makes an episode unwatchable. Although it's not as horrible as rmvb file or YouTube quality, it's still pretty bad. Within two minutes of watching AoShen's episode 3, I decided to delete it and continue waiting.

So far I've been patient, but watching the Raw of episode 3 and 4(not 5 because I don't want to spoil myself) I've become restless. If this weren't as good as it was, I would've simply dropped it. I feel so frustrated.
