Hayate the Combat Butler! Heaven Is a Place on Earth (movie)

Yes, Hayate no Gotoku is getting a feature-length theatrical film! Announced a few months ago, it's being directed by Hideto Komori [size=10](the animation director of Darker than BLACK, Ergo Proxy, and House of Five Leaves)[/h], the script is being written by Yasuko Kobayashi [size=10](Kamen Rider Ryuki, Blassreiter, Claymore, Shakugan no Shana)[/h], and is being animated by Manglobe [size=10](Samurai Champloo, The Sacred Blacksmith, Deadman Wonderland)[/h].

It's unknown if the movie will be an original story, or follow the manga. And I have no clue who thought up the title for this movie.

EDIT: Current ETA is August 27, 2011 according to Hayate author Kenjirou Hata.

Judging by the end of S2, it may well be about A-tan. If this is done right it can be epic, since it was my favourite part of the manga. Don't disappoint me, Manglobe!

Supposed to be out some time this summer.

It would be funny to see a live-action version like Death Note.

It would be really hard to find a poor-looking guy that is somewhat appealing to girls and looks like girl and cute when cross dressing...

I never did finish reading the series. I got to Volume 14 and then stopped because of financial issues and I didn't feel like reading it online. Is the anime any good? I might watch it and hopefully finish in time to watch this movie.

I never read it so I cannot compare if there was any alteration made, but when I watched the series, I must say it's good and funny as well.

As for the movie, Hope that A-TAN!!! will show up and make all of us fans to go gaga after watching her.

I'm going to watch this movie SO HARD. I can't believe there hasn't been a Season 3 of Hayate yet...

Good movie sales will summon the S3... though it'll be expected to do filler Eps(and i hope they're good)

Some new information: The Hayate movie will be a "double-feature" with a Negima movie, meaning that buying one movie ticket will allow you to see both movies.

Rumor has it that the story may not follow the manga, but might be some sort of spin-off side story.
