UN-GO

Fall 2011 is shaping up to be one solid season, continuing 2011's strong comeback for anime as a industry. The other notaminA offering of the season has been revealed, and it is UN-GO by Studio BONES.
This is period era style mystery series transplanted into a futuristic setting. The material would be inspired/based on the acclaimed detective short story collection Ango Torimonochou, by Ango Sakaguchi who has already passed away. This is a very new thing for anime to be based off, but I'm certainly not complaining!
Shou Aikawa, the man responsible for RahXephon, the original FMA and the FMA movie will be acting as the writer and producer. Seiji Mizushima will be acting as director and Shigeo Akahori for the designs.
I am quite excited and is ooking forward to what BONES has in store for us!

Saw first episode and liked it. Some of the faces are "angular" but that doesn't really bother me. I really liked Inga though; it seems he/she might just steal the show.

Meh, first episode really did not strike me as interesting, but then again, it was the first so I was not expecting it to do much. I will give some more time.
FYI: Episode 0 telling the story of how Yuuki and Inga meet is to premier in Nov: http://myanimelist.net/anime/11531/UN-GO_episode:0_Inga-ron

lol, was bad. I trying to figure out why on earth the main characters partner has that ridiculous get up and the mystery of this episode was laughably bad. I was intriguing by that aforementioned partner being able to turn into this woman who can "will" people to tell the truth for one question. Sounds like this could be an interesting hook going forward.

I can't believe this topic is so dead ,like cmon the anime is pretty interesting But currently, there's nothing "interesting" to talk about. These 2 episodes are just prologue stories.

This is one of my favourites this season... and I don't know why. I honestly can't pinpoint exactly what it is about this series that I like. The murder mysteries are not that impressive, and actually rather simplistic. The art style is good, but again, not something outstanding or unique. I haven't really noticed the music (OP and ED aside), or maybe it's just that the music itself just doesn't draw me in. Taking all of this into account, I would consider this anime to very regular, mediocre, and even cliched if you must, but regardless of all this, I still enjoy UN-GO a lot.
Edit: Thinking again, I realize that I am quite interested in Kazamori's character. Maybe that is what's drawing me into this anime...
