Persona 4 Vita + Fighter

[color=#006FFF]Atlus has been teasing their fans with a site that simply states "http://p-atlus.jp/" with a yellow background for about a week now, causing a fair amount of speculation. (A lot of people thought it was P4P for the 3DS considering Atlus apparently stated a Persona game was going to be for the 3DS or something, Iono.)
Today they revealed that the next Persona game in the works is indeed Persona 4 Portable, for the Vita. The game is to be titled Persona 4 The Golden and is due to be released Spring 2012 in Japan.
The port is due to have the following additions;
[color=#006FFF]This is about it for the remake of Persona 4.
On a far more interesting/unexpected note, Atlus has also announced that they are teaming up with Arc System Work (the creators of BlazBlue) to make a Persona 4 fighting game, titled Persona 4: The Ultimate In Mayonaka Arena that will take place 2 years after the events of Persona 4, featuring an all new story.
This will be on the PS360 after hitting arcades, Summer 2012.
The cast will be a combination of not just Persona 4's roster, but 3's as well. Fours of them have (apparently) been confirmed to be playable in The Ultimate in Mayonaka Arena: Yu Narukami (MC of P4), Yosuke Hanamura, Chie Satonaka, and Aigis.

[color=#006FFF]EDIT:
According to scans which some have apparently seen, exploration will be P3/P4-style, not P3P-style (with the blue/pink circle); and the NPCs will have their 3D character models as opposed to the style in which P3P had them (static 2D art).

Only thing that came to my mind when my friend told me abut this, is more Yukiko.
With BlazBlue and this Im definitely getting a Vita now.

[color=#006FFF]Was just about to post those myself, lol.
Loving Marie/Mary's design. I wonder if they meant she was a new playable character when announcing her as one of the new additions to the game. I kind of hope so now, but who knows. Could just be a new, slightly-important-but-not-story-altering NPC.
And I think it's safe to assume that the image of Aigis is for the fighting game. Seems like she's fighting someone who uses a sword (double edged one at that). Maybe Mitsuru's rapier? I'm kind of expecting the full casts from both P3 and P4 to be in the game, along with some side NPCs. (Some people want to see Dojima in there with Nanako in a special of his, lol. I think that'd be interesting.)

I'm relieved that it's a 2d fighter. This piqued my interest immensely.
Also, I wondering what's Rise's fighting style in this game.

On the fence about a fighter. Its a mixed bag with ASW. You can get something GREAT like Guilty Gear, something bad but still awesome because of the ridiculousness like Hokuto no Ken or something that completely blows, like Sengoku Basara X.
Crossing my fingers here.

I'm seriously doubting this particular sentence here. What can they possibly do to make fans of the original like this pos.

That P4 fighting game looks pretty good honestly, I wouldnt be surprised if it became as popular as Guilty Gear and BlazBlue, seeing as how Persona is already popular as it is.
Anyway, PSV's game library is looking really nice. Once I get Gears 3, PSV is what I'll be saving for (and other game titles of course).

[color=#006FFF]Not sure if any of these new additions will appeal to them (personally, I like them) but here are some new/more specific details:
> 3G and Wi-Fi support
> New event scenes
> Added Personas
> Added character outfits
> New character Marie, voiced by Kana Hanazawa. She's a "mysterious girl" who appears before the main characters.
> When you're about to die in a dungeon, you can send a message seeking help to other players. It's not specified how this system will work exactly.

[color=#006FFF]Also, it has been specifically confirmed that there will not be a female MC option for P4G. (Check the comment section in the source below.)

I wanted a Vita before because I plan on buying Dragon's Crown, but this is also going to be a title I'll need it for it seems. Since this is what I wanted (if I couldn't get P5 immediately), I'll be more than happy to purchase the game.
Also, in general Atlus related news, apparently AtlusJP said in a tweet of theirs that their 3DS game they said they would be working on (I haven't seen this, but apparently they stated it a while ago) is Persona 3 (again?).
EDIT:
Some info regarding P4:UiMA.

Made my day hearing about this news, which I seen on another site already. However, I won't be buying another gaming system for awhile now, but nice to know. Here are some better screens the site has now:
Persona 4 Golden Screens
and the fighter game screens:
Persona Fighter
Can not wait until they finally announced number 5:

[color=#006FFF]LOL. Beat me to it. =P
I am seriously hoping that Marie will be playable in some way. I love her character design, and would really like to be able to see her in the game as much as possible.
As for P4: UiMA, I'm very pleased with how it looks visually--it's exactly how any P4 fan would hope to see the game rendered into a fighter, so no complaints there. I wonder if ASW will take a route similar to Arcana Heart and make it so you choose the character and then the persona you want to pair with them. It'd be interesting to see, but then again.. I kind of want them to stick with leaving the personas with who they belong to, that way they can focus more on the attacks they'd use with their character, rather than just make a set move list for the personas and use the same visuals no matter the character (if that made any sense at all).

Disappointed by the news, really... I didn't want a Vita, and now I do... Poor wallet T_TI know, right? The damn thing costs as much as a PS3 and will probably have half the life cycle thanks to Sony and Nintendo always battling for handheld dominance, meaning that one day Sony will make that ultra blu-ray handheld that will outdo the Vita like the Vita is seemingly going to do to the PSP...
...BUT I NEED IT SO BADLY! Fucking dammit, Atlus.
At least we can all afford the fighting game. That's just drool, worthy!
Oh, and a friend of mine said that he wishes Nocturne's Demi-Fiend was an unlockable character, but let's face it: That mother fucker would be so top tier he'd break the ranking and assfuck the disc the minute you popped it into your console.
Just look at how ball-crunchingly hard he was in Digital Devil Saga as an unlockable boss!

[color=#006FFF]Just as a little notification, the site mentioned in OP is finally up, and, as speculated by many around some forums, it is a general Persona Portal site.
Check it out here!
P4U and P4G have their own sites now as well (though it just shows the title for now), which you will be able to find on the portal site above.

Would you believe someone on Andriasang commented that Marie looked like she was from Bible Black? :P
