What are your thoughts of Halo 3?
My thoughts are it looks the same and it seems to run the same...
The only diffence is... better graphics more guns more vechiles lots of fixed up stuff...
And the Bubble!!!
Yes the Bubble will protect me Very Happy
Also who gonna buy it?
I am gonna buy a 360 just for this game...
I screwed up and posted this on Anime forums ha!

It's quite fun but it's really inconsistent for me right now. Some games are awesome and play really fun and then other times you wind up with annoying little faggots that just try and sneak up on you all the time but aren't shit if they fight normally. I suppose that that's pretty much standard though and how the game is going to be until the end of time but that won't stop me from bitching about it.

I just hope the pistil is good... not like 1 when it was to strong or 2 when it was worthless... and i hope the plasma sword is balanced.. 1 hit ko moves are stupid... to easy with plasma sword... only the spartan lazer should be 1hit ko cos of the charge time and roload time and it shows when your aiming at...

Eh, from what i've played of it, the game is just Halo 2.5 at this point. Basically they took away the recoil from previous games, and the servers are flooded with noobs most of the time. Bubble shield is kinda pointless unless your opponents are dumb. More rantings to come at a later undetermined date.

A lot of people are going to buy a 360 just for this game. The bubble shield is probably gonna be good just for artillery fire from a tank or something. The mines can be kinda useful though. I just hope the single player doesn't suffer like in halo 2. Halo has too good of a storyline for that.

i've never played any multiplayer Halo game
from my experience, the Quake series has set an "arcade-type" standard for multiplayer
no headshots
no hitstun
rocket launchers
and rocket jumps
the lack of realism is fun, i mean like, i had more fun playing Deathmatch Classic (HL mod) than Counter-strike (also, HL mod)
back to Halo...
i've only played the first Halo game
it was fun for a while
the environment was okay... i mean there's a lot of running around (i'd take on vats, sewers, complex, hallways, caves, pandemoniums, castles, a hand-shaped level, installations and corridors instead)
inside-buildings level designs were repetitive like they were copy and paste and pretty linear... no puzzles, no hidden buttons, no secret rooms that lead you to a room with the game developer's gigantic head, impaled on a 3-inch thick, 7 foot tall wooden pole, screaming like a bitch when you shoot them (or have i been missing out on something? it'd be cool if they put Bill Gates' head in there)
the enemies were either really easy or very unreasonable
somehow, i can't remember having any good melee weapon back there... oh right, everything can be used as melee weapons, although nothing was specialized as a melee weapon
only a handful of weapons are really useful; i'd trade my spraying pussomatic-rifle/sub-submachine-gun for the handy dandy sharpshooting handgun anytime... take out their shields with the plasma rifle---whatever it was called... and finish with a headshot using the handgun
enough about the rant... i can't really say much since i've never played Halo 2 and i don't have an X-Box 360

My roommates picked up some game for 360 a while ago and got the beta for H3 a few weeks ago. I mean, sure, it looks pretty. The UI is much more sleek, skins for guns look better, and obviously it's running on a better platform. Gameplay's lacking a little bit though, I think. Original ideas for the new guns (who doesn't love lasering someone in the face from across the map?) and nades but meh...I'm not entirely impressed.

I doubt there will be any big surprises about the game's quality. It will probably be the same kind you'd find in the other 2 games. I think Halo 3 will, like 1 and 2, be a solid fps thats all around a good game without any major weak points but at the same time will lack anything to make it a really great game. For fans of console FPS games it will be a good buy.

It will be amazing game. The reason it's great is because it doesn't change that much and just adds a few new things. The multiplayer is what makes it the best fps out there. Halo 3 will probably get a 9.5/10 from me. I don't care about the storyline in games all I care about is the multiplayer. Also everything about it makes it not a great game, but a AMAZING game. All it will lack is a good single player campaign probably and that really doesn't matter.

From what i saw at E3 yes the game has to be good. Otherwise Bungie will never be forgiven. From the trailer i get the feeling that master chief will get pissed at arbiter and that somehow we'll be able to drive scarabs. But what i really care about is how the story's gonna end. I say: They'll activate the rings. they have to.

4 man ONLINE multipalyer sounds pretty nice. I don't own a 360 though so I'll just bum it off whoever buys it.

I'll buy it myself if i have to. When halo 2 came out i had to buy it myself and play it on my friends xbox. I plan to do the same if its necessary.

as its a series, they don't want to go out there with off-the-wall new weapons or something. its one of those things that they want to make it better without changing the flow or disrupting the story or something else i forgot.
i'm sure they're hiding a few more things than 4 player co-op. its nice but not enough of course. i personally would like to see better stats, something i've been longing for since goldeneye on n64.
i'm expecting slightly more balanced and tweaked weapons, the new weapons and vehicles already promised. and a better storyline than halo 2.
as for everything else, i can't say..
now in reply to a few specific previous comments,
i'd like to point out that the multiplayer beta was a mid-development preview and not much to take something from. a lot of people would still buy it if they made a halo 2.5. although i don't think they're going to leave it at that.
if you remember, halo 2 was more like halo 1.5. at this point I believe the changes made are more significant than that, so you should really give it at least halo 2.75 to not look hypocritical.

I personly can't wait for halo 3. Right now I've just been playing maden and i'm bored of just about every other game out. I think the multiplayer will be good, the beta was cool, but i realy hope that the campaing will be awsome.
