Welcome to my mountain. It's a beautiful place where mankind has yet to truly penetrate its ancient walls. It's a place where magic still lives, and youkai hunt.

My mountain has secrets...
It is a dangerous place where the trees come alive with reaching limbs, and where beasts are still giant. You have to be clever to survive here. You can hide in the mountains forests, or make a break for the river, but be warned... the river is far more treacherous than the woods, for even great beasts fear the waters. The mountain never let's go of you, for it eternally seeks more secrets to guard.

Rules:
Just answer the riddles. I won't kill you off anymore, but something almost as bad or worse might happen to you depending on who's asking and what your answer is. Whoever takes up the chance to answer a riddle gets to be the hero.

So, about the solo thing
We have to decide before we start right?
We cant be in a team and all of a sudden go solo right?

Also, what if there are only two left in a team?
If they get it wrong, is the winner decided only by chance, or is there a one on one kind of thing?

You can go solo whenever you want. If you want to be from the get-go, that's ok.

Darkhilt, you are approached by one of the Mountains Wood Elves. She is keen and suspicious of you who has no baring in the forest. The wood elves are cunning and elusive. Few know of their ways. She's been following you for the past few hours unnoticed. She'd grown tired of it, and has come to the conclusion that you are a threat. Fair though, she offers you the chance to save yourself. She asks you a cryptic riddle. "When safe I am alone. When given I am lost. When found I am stolen. What am I?"


Mangaexpert, you are wandering in one of the more open areas of the mountain, for you can not see any present dangers. There is nothing but the open sky and the field. However, there lies the danger. Faster than you would ever think it could be, out from the ground a plantlike monstrosity appears before you. It appears to be some sort of root. Atop it rides a man who seems to control the beast. He presents this riddle. A man is having a conversation and says that he was born with an extra finger on his right hand. He is replied to with "I have extra heads growing from my middle, extra eyes growing from my head, and replaceable hands." Who/what is the man talking to?

Um.... Where's my riddle? I'm posting in green, as you told us, if we wanted to play. Solo, that is, for now.

Ach, sorry, I got confused. Since you and mangaexpert are still solo and Darkhilt is by default solo as well, I'll just add yours now.


TheObsidianLoli. You'ved made you way to the river. The river, normally feared by almost all kinds of monster and menace can now be seen holding in it the largest and most hideous thing you've ever laid eyes on. This monster sees in it's gaze all of the land around it, and by pure bad luck, it sees you too. Be aware that this beast is prideful, and is no dim-witted animal. Your look of disgust insults it and it means to prove you wrong. It asks you. "Where may you find roads without carts, forests without trees, cities without houses?"

Impressed that you were able to solve it's riddle and appreciative of what for it, is rare conversation, the bizarre mammoth allows you to pass. Take heed, for not all creatures on my mountain are as kind as that, nor are they as generous to give so easily a solved riddle.


Just in time to teach you this, as you walk away from the river you come across a pair of Fay. The exact opposite of your last encounter, they are small, delicate, and beautiful... and so too are they wicked. These two witnessed your triumph over the river beast, have chosen to reap a reward from it. They believe that should they conquer you, than they would be more worthy of ruling the river. They ask you this. I have many names and many faces, and count the tailed heads. I feast bright upon the eyes, of many who have died. Wielding well a mighty influence, I who hath but humble stature, make masses fall upon their knees to beg of me my only use. What am I?" Be warned... they've no intent to make this easy.

The wood elf is displeased with your answer and sees no use for you. You are an intruder and could not pass her test. You are quickly cut in two with her sword and left to rot among the fallen leaves of the forest floor.

It's ok. It's a tricky one in it's way, but one of those ones where once you know the answer it's obvious. One of those annoying kinds of riddles.

Any riddle that goes unsolved will be asked again at some point too, so I can't give the answer.

((XD alright I'll wait for the death of the other two then with baited breath.
