[TCF January] Cheesy Leek, Spinach & Chicken Pasta
1
I actually made this like a fortnight ago, but meh... laziness
I found some leek and spinach on at half price cause their due date was soon (only way I can afford food these days...) and came across this recipe. I added some chicken to it too, cause I thought it would compliment it nicely and the chicken was half price too >:3 Also I got rid of the sun-dried tomatoes and replaced the danish blue with Gorgonzola due to I though danish blue was just a tad too strong (I was thinking of replacing it with cheddar, but I do want a little strength in there...).
recipe can be found here
K, enough talk. Pic time.

and sigh, clean up time...

The idea for the dish was spot on, despite being a little cliched...Chicken florentine is basically the slot that your dish fits into, and that in and of itself is a stroke of genius, because that particular dish is MADE for incorporating flavor and substance into leafy greens and making a meal out of it. A great dish, although the plating was a little sub-par, I give it an 8 out of 10.

Omgggg I love my chicken with a darker color and I love how you let it heat for a bit more than usual. <3 I love slightly more crusty cheese @_@ I'm the kid who scraps her mac and cheese pannnnn yummmm

It helps with the taste, as Im not that good at cooking and tend to overcook my meat, but I like it like that. Also meat with color looks more appetizing anyway

But yeah, the plating was just a bowl I had, i suppose I could have presented it a little better... thanks for the tips

Sorry, I tend to get a little finicky with my words when it comes to judging food lol Basically, you couldn't have used better ingredients to compliment leafy greens than chicken and pasta, good job ^_^
