The first time a saw Battle Angel it was in comic book form back in the 90s I think. It starts off as a future/cyborg/wasteland type story, as the story progresses it hits on philosophical issues and it's filled with references to various historical whatnots.
Rippers anime is translating them as they come out and you can download it in the downloads area.

Since some of the things actually lives up to the hype it keeps you beliving :P

I read it to the end and loved it because I didn't know what to expect. One of my friends also read it and yeah I don't hear about it much.

I concede that point. But still you have to sort through a lot of crap to find really good things. :D

yeah i recently was loned the first 4 volumes. I CANT PUT THEM DOWN!
also at this point ive read the whole series to date. thats to say the original, and whatever i could find for Last Order.
this is definitely a worth while manga. it makes you think. and besides: it features a sexy vampire woman who mastered kung fu who fights cyborgs trained in martian martial arts.

O.O THIS MANGA IS AMAZING>>>>>>>>>>>>> yeah, long time fan, i think i read it ever since like volume 7 on first season. Last order is brilliant.

The manga is unbelievably awesome. I've been hooked ever since I read the first series. Now, I am on Volume 12 of Last Order. I've seriously been waiting to see what happens now especially after the end of Volume 11.
Actually, I like this much better than the OVA. It tells more about Alita's past. Also, it much more kick ass fighting.
Hmm... I suppose it's one of this manga is one of those under radar type of thing. But still, it is an awesome manga and truly can't wait to read Volume 12.

Those were rly, rly bad quality. Like worse than trigun(not hating on trigun, just it looked like older animation). They made a game 2(like berserk) and i never played it.

I found Battle Angle Alita on the shelves of my local library's manga section and checked them all out. I love this series. I also heard that James Cameron is turning it into a movie...I hope that he doesn't do to this what Hollywood did to American comics....*shudders* Still, I think that it's safe in his hands, he's a pretty good director.
