Saint Seiya Omega

Saint Seiya Omega (聖闘士星矢・オメガ Seinto Seiya Omega?, stylized as Saint Seiya Ω) is an upcoming anime series produced by Toei Animation. It is a spin-off inspired by the classic manga series Saint Seiya, which was created, written and illustrated by Japanese author Masami Kurumada.[1].The series is scheduled to begin airing on TV Asahi on April 1, 2012. It will be directed by Morio Hatano (his directorial debut), with animation character designs by illustrator and animator Yoshihiko Umakoshi, known for performing the same duties on Street Fighter Alpha: The Animation and Casshern Sins.[1]

Anyone interested? Gotta love Saint Seiya.. one of my first animes ever and what little of it that I remember is epic. And it's scheduled to be out on April Fools day.

EDIT: Please note, THIS IS NOT THE ORIGINAL SAINT SEIYA. This is a spinoff of the original series and has a different protagonist.

Sounds... interesting. Quite so. I wonder.

Might be better to change the thread title to this, since it's not a sequel, but a spin-off that uses the same characters.

The only thing that bothered me probably was the Cloths, it lacks the fine details of the original. (Well, Shingo Araki passed away.. so yeah)
It's basically like futuristic cars.. lol It emphasizes more on the sleek design. Hey, but that's just a subjective opinion.

Other than that it still follows the basic formula of a shonen show. So, I'm just happy for now.

On the other hand, the animation is disappointing. I know most anime shows don't really have good fight scenes but COME ON this is Saint Seiya we're talking about and Saint Seiya is a legendary shonen that deserves better than this.

Different Illustrator different style. That's why this is a spin-off.
Araki Shingo passed away, so they take the closest one with his artstyle Umakoshi Yoshihiko.

That's why we will never see "another" Seiya anime. lol
Take this anime as it is, or just walk away.

Ah well seeing as it's a part of the Saint Seiya mythos I'll have to finish it of course.

Seems like there aren't too many SS fans left on Fakku

I really liked the original one, watched it daily when I was a kid. Also really liked The Lost Canvas. This one I am watching only for the female saints xD

I do hope that we get to see Seiya's other moves instead of just Pegasus Meteor fist, Pegasus Rolling crush and Comet fist were both badass.

It's obvious that we will see new moves, this is a shonen title.
Shone title without new moves = not shonen...lol
