"The May issue of Shueisha's Jump Square magazine is announcing on Wednesday that an anime adaptation of Saki Hasemi and Kentaro Yabuki's To Love-Ru -Trouble- Darkness manga has been green-lit. Atsushi Ootsuki is returning from the To Love-Ru television anime to direct at Xebec, and To Love-Ru veteran Yuichi Ouka is also designing the characters."

Never finished the first anime series, have not been keeping up with Darkness, but I'm still pretty excited for this, how about you?

Is there a need to watch or read To Love ru first?YES, it's a direct continuation of the story, I would read the manga.

I was expecting this to come a couple more volumes later, but I sure as hell won't complain as long as it has mostly the same staff as Motto. The first season was not that great, and the OVAs were fun but out-of-character a good deal of the time.

it's not really surprising, the manga got a very huge popularity in a short time
I kinda have guessed that it will be animated before long, It's a market demand after all.
but since the manga hasn't run for a long time, I think the anime tend to stray from the manga, like the first season of to love ru.
but all we can do now is wait,
damn, I really wanted to see Yui in action

I love the manga, but worry over the anime. I mean the manga is extremely explicit, even compared to the original To Love-Ru so I hope they don't tone it down for the anime. The reason I love To Love-Ru Darkness so much is the extremeness of the manga, so if I'm going to like the anime it's going to have to do the same.
I'll be wishing. :)

Like what some of our fellow Fakku members have mentioned, there may be quite a bit of censorship in the television broadcast. Fans of ecchi scenes, myself included, will most probably have to wait for the Blu-ray or DVD editions.
Unfortunately, I also know Haruna will not get as much screentime as compared to "To Love Ru". T_T

i fear is the censors will murder this Most likely, and it makes me less excited about this than when I first heard about it.

Well, I will just wait for the blu-ray instead of watching its TV broadcast. Don't want my fap material to be ruined by censorship.

Since 2010
Hopefully AT-X broadcasts it uncensored like it did with "Motto To Love-ru" that way their will be decent raws available with no censoring.
