A game that presents itself as a serious GOTY contender. Produced by Bethesda Studios, developed by Arkane Studios (Arx Fatalis, Dark Messiah of Might and Magic). Additionally, developers from Deus Ex and Half Life 2 seem to have contributed heavily to this new game.
Platforms: 360/PS3

Saw the trailer this morning. Can't believe no one's getting an Assassin's Creed feel from it, but then again, there's Thief influences, so yeah. >__>
Personally, I'd rather see some actual gameplay footage before actually deciding this is worthwhile. I should be glad that Bethesda themselves aren't developing it. A game like this would not be nice with bugs.

Maaaann....
That steampunk environment, with a touch of cursed magic, an air of Bioshock, Assassins Creed... Damn this might be a revelation, first time I'm hearing about it.
This will quite probably be on my to buy list. Also, knowing Bethesda and Arkane, this game's environment will be massive.
Looking forward to it.

It's all optional, and if it all goes well, how we do missions will actually affect the game around us.

Man, If I had a dime for every developer that said that...
But either way, i've heard about the game alot in magazines and a bit in the internet, It seems fun and promising, I just hope they don't cut alot of content.
Also - I've not heard anything from them saying weather its going to be Open-World, Level based, or otherwise. My hopes are for a open-sandbox. But that seems like it wouldn't fit for some reason.

Well, if it was an open sand box, you could do all the assassinations in any order you choose, which is fine by me, but that is a crazy pain in the ass for the people doing the story because they need to keep it coherent for every single thing that you do, and not mess anything up.
Thus making the dev's work harder because there will be more content to put in to encapsulate all options towards the main storyline.
If they do it, well, they will become the first that will achieve a totally reconstructible main storyline in video game history on a 3D, FPS RPG game (that I know of that is, please enlighten me to any that you know that fit the description (edit: so that I can play'em^^)). Which will be awesome.
But that's an if. But I'm hoping for it too^^.
But true

Everything steampunk related is good in my book. When the game also appears to be like a mix between Bioshock and Assassins Creed it suddenly becomes a day one buy/pirate.

Bethesda has made some real winners (Brink was crappy controls, Skyrim/ enitre Elder Scrolls series was an epic tale of awesome, and the 2 Fallout games were the best games I ever played), I must admit this game looks interesting. And the fact that they got the artist from Half-Life to help them.... My god, this game shall be a masterpiece throughout the ages!

The mark on the guy I assume you play as hand looks strikingly similar to the cursed mark in From Software's Evergrace/Forever Kingdom series.

Hint: It is on the guy on the covers right hand...

Honestly, I don't understand why everyone keeps on saying that it's gonna be a mix of assassins creed. I'm finding it a bit annoying that people are comparing the games because you're on the rooftop an perform a single assassination in the cinematic trailer.

I just worry about the action elements overwhelming the stealth gameplay. Obviously if you're going Steampunk, you want to take advantage of the obvious combat opportunities that presents, but I'd rather it was more like Thief than your typical Bethesda RPG.

Honestly it seems to be very Bioshock + HL mixed in with probable stealth elements, but given the people working on it it makes sense.
