Phantasy Star ZERO

I'm so excited about this, I'm even making a thread about it even though there are only two scans of it right now.

It doesn't seem to be a prequel to Phantasy Star. Instead it appears to be independent of all the Phantasy Stars. It also sounds like it will be based on the Phantasy Star Online engine (this is not confirmed and could be wishful thinking on the part of the fans).

Just looking at it, it seems that it is for the DS. Which disappoints me tremendously because I loved Phantasy Star series on the consoles. :?

Ya know ... I just don't get the whole "DS is bad" thing here. I've wanted exactly what this appears to be almost since the DS came out while I was playing PSO E1&2. As far as I see, the biggest problem is getting Sega to release it out here since even PSP hasn't been localized, and I hear that game went over very well in Japan.

Phantasy Star Portable was great. I fail to see why there is so much DS hate as well. Personally, I prefer the portable ones to the console versions. The portability makes the hours of grinding easier.

And nothing is better than having Phantasy Star with online capability on the go.
Too bad this game won't have voice chats, but picture chat, wtf. Why won't they make use of the mic =.=
I have yet got Phantasy Star Portable and I might DL it, not sure yet. There's a forum I can refer to for the Japanese translations for the most part, but a NA release needs to be announced already.

Another PSO game hey? I hope this one is online, but what I see from PSP, I'm not too sure it will happen. :( However, I would still get this game if it become localized. I can see it selling again. :3

Yeah, that's a big disappointment especially when DS has a headset designed for online games. Is Pokemon D/P the only game that uses that thing? Waste of resources if you ask me.

I want this game so bad, ever since I played offline PSU and enjoyed it, but wanted to go online and couldn't due to having to pay, it kinda let me down..

Hopefuly this title will not only remain the old PSO feel and gameplay, but maybe a new story and new gameplay mechanics, especially for the console, and also.. Wi-Fi!

Log on to Wi-Fi Center, find some teammates in a room and wham, memories here I come!

I hope it gets released out here.. Yet if it does Sega will also have to release PSP, which might leave a lot of fans angry if both don't do >_>'

Well what i ahev here is tht news about this has been released in Jap i think adn it got good feedback many PSPers are haveing loads of fun with team hunts and mission grouping, althou still it doesnt seem enough to make the producers to make this game localize still, never the less we can hope for the best, i like the story of all PSU but not the weapon , and battle system is not enough restraint on too many aspects still is a good game, hope it will go in our favour...

I have a question for you guys; concerning online for "PSO 0".

I mean, from what I read, PSP (Phantasy Star Portable) could only be played co-op on a local multiplayer.
And since well, the Psp is a bit more powerful then the DS, do you think we can form parties in WFC?

"Power" has nothing to do with it considering that with both games there's one person per system, unlike PSOGC's laggy 4-player split screen. Anyway, I looked at the official Japanese site for ZERO, and with the Nintendo Wi-Fi mark there, it's pretty much guaranteed to have at least an FC setup.

Oh, forgive my ignorance then xD
I just hope the wi-fi part of it isn't to just exchange friend codes and those big bubbles you draw so they appear on-screen. >_>'

Here's hoping it actually supports Wi-Fi partying : D

on another note if its local play only then i hope its set up the same as ep 1 because me and my friends would play non stop till we got to like lvl 200 or so
