The official Twitter account for the Haganai (Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai) school comedy anime confirmed on Sunday that production on a second television season has been green-lit. The announcement was originally made during the Haganai stage event at the MF Bunko J imprint's 10th Anniversary Summer School Festival on the same day.
Yomi Hirasaka and Buriki's original Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai light novels revolve around Kodaka (Ryohei Kimura) — a half-Japanese/half-British transfer student whose delinquent-like blonde hair and fierce eyes scare people — and a seemingly perpetually sullen girl named Yozora (Marina Inoue). The two decide to form Rinjinbu, a club for misfits with hardly any friends.
Funimation and the video-streaming service Niconico announced in October that they would stream Haganai as it aired in Japan. The two companies then began streaming the series later that month. Funimation has since announced that it acquired the broadcast, home entertainment, merchandising, mobile, and streaming rights, with DVD and Blu-ray Disc releases specifically planned.
Update: 18th August
2nd Season Slated for January 2013.
Update: 23rd November
2nd Haganai Season Slated for January 10

While it wasn't the greatest anime EVAR, it was still pretty good, so I'm glad it's getting a second season.
