ToraDora!

Now that the titles of Summer 2008 is coming to end, it is time we moved on the programmes of Autumn 2008, starting next month.
For those of you who have yet to read the manga or light novels of Toradora, the following is a brief summary of its storyline, with some help from wikipedia:
As with all other high-school romance-comedy anime titles, one would expect a generic-looking male protagonist to have a crush on his beautiful classmate, just to fall for another girl, after interaction with the latter. What makes Toradora different from these other titles? Well, actually, nothing much, apart from Ryuji Takasu, the male lead, looking slightly different from all those found in other series, with his less-than-approachable appearance. Instead of having a love triangle, Toradora features a love "square", where Ryuji has a crush on Taiga Aisaka (the female protagonist)'s best friend, and Taiga having the same feelings for Ryuji's best friend, prompting both parties to work together to achieve their goals. Of course, with the prediction powers that most anime fans possess, we all know what the final pairing will be. :D
Rie Kugimiya will once again be playing the role of seiyuu to another flat-chested tsundere, while Yui Horie reprises her role of yet another love rival, similar to that of Louise v Siesta in Zero no Tsukaima.
For those who cannot be bothered to read through the above text, here are some images to keep your eyes and mind occupied :D:

And a website if you are interested: http://www.starchild.co.jp/special/toradora/
For a schoolgirl fan like myself, I don't really mind watching more of such titles; what about the rest of you?
P.S. I am quite sure there will be fanservice involved. :D

Hahaha, that was pretty funny but anyway... the whole idea does sound pretty interesting. I think I should start to look up a bit more information on the whole thing and maybe read the manga if I have the time.. that way when it does finally start (next month) I'll be well-informed.
Also, I checked out the link and like how the characters are drawn (edit: I like the drawing style), it's just too bad I can't read Japanese-type writing.[/h]

Oh how I can't wait. I had read this manga about a week ago and of course me being a big fan of Louise I was instantly a big fan of Taiga. The manga was so good and I wish there was more out. Luckily the anime starts soon, October 2nd I saw somewhere, and I'm really excited. And I got even more excited seeing that Rie Kugimiya was doing Taiga's voice. It's so perfect!

Looks like it will have the designs from the light novel rather than the manga. Also, this is the first time that I've been disappointed by the choice of Rie Kugimiya.

For me I've got mixed feelings about her voicing for Taiga.

Who knows ... I think somewhere in the back of my mind I knew it, but I can't really say. Well, her role as Nagi I thought was perfect. She sounded exactly like I had imagined, along with almost the entirety of the cast of Hayate. While Taiga has several personality traits similar to those of Nagi and Louise, the voice I had imagined for her was quite different. Like a normal sounding girl that matches her age, but contrasts with her short frame.

I've honestly never heard of this series until today (the PV was posted on another site). And I can say that after watching it....
I have no interest at all.. Not because the series looks boring or I don't like the character looks. Hell, even Gambler's synopsis of the plot sounds good. But I don't want any more Rie Kugimiya. I loved her as Shanna, tolerated her as Louise, and didn't care about Nagi... But enough already.. I mean... damn, give someone else a chance to make me enjoy a show.
No more Saito-Louise/Yugi-Shanna couples... please..

I'm glad I checked this out, I'll have to give it a try when there's more than just promo videos up.

Who-hooo! I fell in love with the manga not too long ago and fanservice aside ( though it is most certainly welcome ) man am I glad that its going to be turned into an anime.
Though being a guy, I'm a COMPLETE AND UTTER sucker ( Hey hey hey, that rhymed XD )for comedy/romance titles like these.

They're making this into an anime? Sweet! :D
Although, the choice of Kugimiya Rie both works and doesn't at the same time. :?
The downside is that this means that if there IS a third season of SNS, it's going to be delayed even longer. >.>

I know a lot of people are somewhat disappointed with the choice of Rie Kugimiya as the seiyuu, and I can somewhat see why. It's just another tsundere loli that she will be playing. The thing is though as I read the manga I just instantly put her voice to the character, before knowing that she would be doing that part. Her voice just fits too perfectly, at least that's my opinion.

I found the manga surprisingly entertaining. Somehow though I'm feeling skeptical about the anime.

While I am excited for the anime, I still think it premature to start an anime when the manga isn't even close to rising point, let alone a climax, or ending.
I also don't think Rie should be the seiyuu for miss palm-sized tiger. She just doesn't quite fit the anger that was portrayed in the manga.

True, the more recent characters she plays are love confused tsundere lolis. But remember, she also played Alphonse Elric.
And I did not know that she's Mizore from Rosario+Vampire.
Also, does this sound familiar at all?
Tough guy with bad eyes, bad with women, has a girl in the palm of his hand?
