Jigoku ShÅjo Mitsuganae

I would like to see how the third season of Jigoku Shoujo turns out, since the second had some storyline instead of individual short stories. The lesbian kiss mentioned by GSDAkatsuki does provide some form of incentive to do so too, but it all boils down to the time I have on my hands, as well as reviews from others.

I'm gonna have to marathon Futakomori at some point in the near future because, from what I can tell, IFC won't be airing it.

So far no fansub group has picked up the series yet, there are three RAW episodes out though.
I assume it would be this picture you mean (have not watched any of season 3 yet) http://gelbooru.com/index.php?page=post&s=view&id=355543http://gelbooru.com/index.php?page=post&s=view&id=355543
edit: Aerosubs has translated the first episode

yeah... the lesbian kiss. Totally turned me off. I guess i'm a homophobic, but whattever.
But the storyline.... nah, theyve ran out of good ideas. Season one and 2 were great. This one.... crap.

I'm almost done with the series, 3 more episodes to go. I'm gonna miss my "Love" ("Ai")...
While I do agree that the second season was GREAT (no questions asked), I beg to differ that the 3rd is crap. Although I still have no firm assessment as to why and how Ai managed to return, the series did maintain its semi-twisted theme while focusing more on another character's (the next Jigoku Shoujo?) point of view. I'm certainly enjoying the ride which continues to prove/show how shallow and ridiculously stupid human beings really are.
If I remember correctly, I liked episodes 2 and 12 the best. Kikuri is just annoyingly-funny as usual. Nonetheless, Ai FTW! :D
Btw, Tsugumi has grown to be such a fine lady; though it's quite understandable in a certain standpoint, I'm really displeased with her current disposition. (She's still voiced by Mizuki Nana) :D

Actually, if you'd only give the rest of its episodes a shot, not in every case did it prove predictable. There were "cases" where I couldn't even ascertain myself who's it gonna be (if you know what I mean). Some cases were really enjoyable and hilarious and somewhat a bit upsetting taking into consideration how some characters were build up for a certain episode just to end up in such a way.
ed:
Most of the earlier episodes are bland, predictable, and ludicrous in terms of reasoning for one's hatred to send someone to hell... the latter half is much better. :)

oh yes, have seen since the first and I agree with you about the second seasons greatness, and with this current 3rd season and its first few episodes compared to the later half, there is a substantial difference, thou my reason for anything Jigoku Shoujo related it that produces win ^_^
