First time i saw it, I thought that this is just a Remake of the Old one with Improved Graphic and stuffs...But Stupid me, I just realized that this ANime got 24 episodes, while the old one only got 12...So, before I'm going to Buy this, I wanted to know that what makes the story different from the old one??...and is it worth it???...

Side Note : Waaai...Nayuki is still Cute as ever!!.. :D

Well, i havent seen the old Kanon.
But the newer one is probably the best Anime ive ever seen.
And ive seen a lot...

Uh...yeah...It's probably is the same with the so called 2006 thing...but that's not the point...

before I'm going to Buy this, I wanted to know that what makes the story different from the old one??...and is it worth it???...

It's a bit different from the older version. I realize this in it's quality and route stories.

I'm new to animes, so 2006 Kanon is actually 1 of my 1st animes.
Didn't have chance to watch previous version of it.
But I dare to say Kanon is a great & touching anime comparable to Clannad & Air. Waiting for 4th season to be released~

*PS - Some people may not realize but Air (Summer), Kanon (Winter), Clannad (Spring). Remaining is the Fall (Might got new anime full of touching stories & some comedy moments)

So I just watched this. Blew through it all in 2 days because I couldn't stop watching. I can't believe I hadn't heard of this before now, this is a great anime.

In the "Have you ever cried..." thread, I mentioned a couple times. But I will admit that Kanon made me cry 5 times... I'll say that crying every once in a while feels good, but dang!

I can see myself watching this multiple times, and I suggest it to anyone who hasn't seen it.

Can someone help me out with the ending?
Yuuichi didn't give Ayu the gift in the past. The Ayu throughout the show had it on. Was she something he made up?
What was her last wish?
And at the very end, was Ayu awake and out of the hospital?

I thought her last wish was for him to be able to smile or something like that. In all seriousness, that ending confused the shit out of me. Still a 10/10 anime in my book. And the anime the made me cry most.

Yeah, I realized it, when I saw Kanon.

The last remaining KEY/Visual Arts game that haven't been animated yet is:
1. Little Busters (Most possible from all, but I doubt it got a link in season)
2. Planeterian (Might not be possible, to short, might make out as an OVA)
3. Dosei,Moon,and One: Kagayaku Kisetsu e (Possible, but I doubt them because their KEY/Visual Arts Pre-KEY Visual Novel
4.Rewrite (In 2 years after release, it's possible. It's anew Visual Novel Developed By KEY/Visual Arts. No further Info, just check wikipedia. I think this is the most possible one, cause the setting of the cities are full of trees.)

Edit: : One:Kagayaku Kisetsu e has Already been OVA'ed :D

I really liked the first Kanon, but the 2006 release of Kanon is FANTASTIC!!! Easily one of my favourites. :D

There is more time to get into the plot and to develope the characters....plus the animation is STUNNING.

i agree. 2006 version was so much better.
it was truely a "FANTASTIC" anime.

i like the character design for 06
but the storyline/plot was easier to understand in 02.

This series was fucking awesome. Once I started, I would watch like 8 eps a day. Every girl was really unique and each had a great cute side to them. Had lots of sad scenes to this and as usual, Key did it well. I still think Clannad is just a little better though.
