Abridged Parodies

I think we've all noticed, heard of or watched some of the many abridged parodies of different anime titles that can be found on YouTube and other sites. I was wondering, what does everyone think of them? Do you enjoy them or hate the idea and so on?
I personally have mixed feelings about them, I like ones where you can tell they've put in a lot of effort like when they get several people, use decent recording equipment, add in sound effects and actually write something funny. I don't like ones where they just do a voice over with no other sounds or where they've tried too hard to make a joke.
One series I have been following is the TFS abridged parody of Dragonball Z.

LK's Yugioh abridged is often painful to watch, its really well done but its just so unfunny, with the same jokes stuffed down your throat and constant in jokes I don't think anyone gets
his Naruto series was fantastic until episode 6, which fell on its face (same with the movie)
I turned them off to watch Birdemic
DBZ Abridged is still enjoyable, though I can't stand ghost nappa

I love a good abridged series, but honestly, most people suck at it. Naruto TAS has been unfunny for a while, despite a strong opening. I absolutely LOVE Yu-Gi-Oh! TAS, though I do agree that LK needs to make it even funnier than it already is. His Ningabridged stuff is great and I've watched the Abridged Movie many times and it still cracks me up. Adding in Gurren Lagann was quite awesome.
Of course, there are other things not done by LK that I enjoy. For example, there is one Code Geass TAS that I enjoy, despite not updating in a long time...

I've watched Yugioh Abridged, thought it was okay. It was funny in some spots, kinda meh in others. My favorite parody series has got to be Dragon Ball Z Abridged. Between Elder Guru, Vegeta and the Ginyu Force, I've been rather enjoying myself with the series so far.

I've watching LittleKoribo's (spelling?) YuGiOh series for a while and picked up Team Four Star's DBZ abridged, but I have to say that my feelings are mixed.
I loved LK's series for a long time, but it's starting to become obvious that he's running out of ideas, and the DBZ abridged series doesn't seem like it's as good anymore either (though it's still maintaining decent quality and humor). I personally don't like any of the other abridged parodies out there though, and I only ever watch LK's or TFS's when I have nothing else to do.

I've been giving other parodies a try and surprising, I've discovered Code MENT, a surprisingly good abridged series compared to most. It's not the best and having too many retards is annoying, but it doesn't repeat too many jokes for the most part. As it goes on, the jokes tend to get better and better and the editing is surprisingly good, despite the weird reversal that is applied a lot.
On another note, purpleeyeswtf, the one who does Code MENT, has been able to get additional cameos, including LK himself, since he does another new parody called None Piece. Only two episodes in, but it's nice.
