[Anime] Akuma no Riddle

[color=#ff69b4]I really loved this episode. The growth in Haruki and exploring her character was fun. I'm going to miss her though. I have a thing for pocky-loving tomboy characters.

We also learned that the "Azuma of the East" and "Kuzonoha of the West" were related in some way. I really hope we learn more about it.

It's actually kinda funny that everyone survived in the end, given that this is an anime about assassins. Not that it's bad, though. Good show~

I think that this show had a lot of potential. I was really into the first few episodes. Then after that I noticed a very obvious downward trend. It didn't continue being good. One of the major things was the show didn't seem to know if it was trying to be more realistic or more outrageous fantasy. Like Highlander Syndrome? That felt really really out of place.

Another thing is, these girls are really really horrible assassins. They fail to kill anyone and just their way of doing things is awful. Chitaru and Hitsugi is a good example. Chitaru based her whole reason for being there, perhaps her whole reason for living is killing Angels Trumpet. So what does she do when Hitsugi just waltzes up and reveals her true identity without a care in the world. Does Chitaru become determined to kill Hitsugi? Does she fly into a rage and attack her as she did to Tokaku? NO! Quite the oppisite, Shes all like "You are my sworn arch enemy but I don't want to kill you now." Fucking Hitsugi has to literally force her hand to stab her. And after she does what does Chitaru do? Does she accept her long sought after victory and go on with her life? NO! She fucking takes Hitsugi's poison and fucking drinks it. She commits suicide. She kills herself for a girl she hardly knows that was supposed to be her greatest enemy. And you know what the worst part of it all is. NEITHER OF THEM ARE ACTUALLY FUCKING DEAD!!!!!! The last episode shows them alive and well. Those are the worst fucking assassins ever. Hitsugi was supposed to be this expert poison master and her fucking poison doesn't even kill people! And if you are going to stab someone, if you are truly an assassin, you would stab them in a spot that would be fatal.

Tokaku's case about killing made more sense so I won't get on that one much. What I will say is that Tokaku must be like a fucking super human or something. The injuries she should have faced in that show are far more then what was shown. A good example for that is when fighting Hanabusa. The way they showed her strength, getting punched by her means you are broken, you are fucked after one punch. If you are a normal person that is. You are especially fucked if she hits you with a massive chandelier. Is Tokaku dead? No, Is she critically wounded? No, Does she even have to go to the hospital? No. Like she is totally ok after that. Then we have when Isuke threw her out of a window. I don't know how high it was but obviously high enough for someone to be assumed dead after falling from that distance. And how is Tokaku's condition? She literally just gets up and walks off. And you are still telling me that she isn't some kind of super human? Does she have Highlander Syndrome too? And speaking of Isuke, she is another terrible assassin. You don't ever ever just assume the person you threw out a window is dead. Not confirming your kill is a huge taboo for an assassin. You got to make sure your target is dead.

All that said, its like this show was afraid to kill people. Even in the last episode, Nia and Haru should also be dead. But nooooo they aren't. Everybody is alive and well, and we all continue being the worst assassins ever. Im not even sure what rating to give this show, A show that started out so strong and then just went to shit. For now I am going to say a 6/10. Thank you for taking the time to read this uber long rant/review.

Everyone is alive and happy, seriously? That ending was almost as bull as 11eyes. The Romeo and Juliet scene and Tokaku killing Haru were the highlights of the anime, and the story just haaaaad to ruin both of them.

I at least wanted 3 of them to be dead for sure, because really? 3 of them got fatally poisoned and untreated for quite a long time and I find that bs.
