Soundtracks pretty good, though I'd say Zankyou no Terror beats it on the OST front (which is hard to believe, because there's only praise for Aldnoah's OST).

Sawano is an excellent composer, there's no doubt about that. However, even he'd have trouble competing with a big name like Yoko MOTHERFUCKING Kanno in terms of composing.

ALIEZ is goddamn addicting. Sawano-san, you and your drops.

Spoiler:
So from episode 3 and 4, humanity has a better chance of defeating the Martians now. And I never expect that holographic body costume thing to be used in this anime. Urobuchi still has a bit of Psycho-Pass in him. Nevertheless, it was enjoyable watching those episodes. Looks like Slaine is getting some action. Finally. Inoha is pretty interesting too.

Spoiler:
Slaine got tongue from Asseylum in a scene so well crafted, I would've geeked from it in a VN. I hate him now. Inaho better NTR her into his harem.

Marito is totally Hans.

The plasma katana picking up the turret is impossible. The steam explosions is possible. I don't buy that the explosive armor produced enough heat or force to disperse the plasma long enough for it to pass through the Areion without damaging it.

So now that Inaho's been recognized and some of the science is reaching the end of it's rope, he might get his suped-up mech soon.

At first I thought the cease-fire was silly considering the length of the series, but that one-eighty with Lord Sazzafraz caught me off guard because I expected Rayregalia to be working with the conspirators. I enjoyed this episode, particularly the insight into the arrogance of the Martians but now I want something to happen on the Terrans side.

Spoiler:
Why do you hate Slaine? Not that I like him or anything, just cat' curiosity. But yes, Inaho is a better choice for the princess.

1 Orbital Knight is down! 11 more to go... (well, not a good prospect, with only 8 eps left)

Spoiler:
From possibly OK to completely fucked all over again, and all in a matter of 15 minutes or so.I think Slain should just steal something expensive and just get the fuck out. It appears there is absolutely nothing he can really do in his current position on this ship full of twats.

Well, guess I'll just wait for next week :)

the way they'll fuck that 6 rocket punch mech. Just like how they destroyed those previous 2's weaknesses.

It's like a mystery anime, except the mystery is the enemy's face and you need to beat in the solution with the righteous fist of science.

Spoiler:
I think that Knight is probably on the lower end of the nobility ranking. Her Kataphrakt is fairly unimpressive(thus far) using conventional means (that are quite situational) to kill her enemies and she was stationed in the middle of nowhere to watch over miles of sea with a pinprick of land to stand on while her comrades face the enemy on the front-lines. She probably has an ace up her sleeve.

The look on Inko's face when she learned Inaho was a virgin. Inaho harem ahoy! Meanwhile Marito just lost his chance at tail.

Slaine now has a swinging pair of balls, now whether or not he can snuggle Asseylum between those fresh wrinklies remains to be seen. Cruhteo is a dick through and through, I expected better from him. Admittedly, he could still be investigating Asseylum's assassination which could lead to a change of heart.

So I'm pretty much expecting Asseylum to knight Slaine(if she hasn't already) and/or Inaho at some point.

Mecha Tropes you might have missed
Rocket punch(duh)
Skintight flight-suit jape
Pip-squeak bridge operator

....I love how the martians literally stumbled on this technology, and proclaimed themselves gods once they were able to use it.

At least Slaine got the hell out of there. Now we have a little bit of Martian tech to work with.

At least Slaine is making progress this time, haha...

Spoiler:
The trade doesn't have to be militaristic, pretty much any advancement in technology can be turned into weaponry, take the internet and satellites, in current day, for example. The obvious, drones go to satellites, while less specifically, an example would be, the facebook/twitter movements of Egypt's first revolution a few years back.. and America's attempt to use youths to do the same in Cuba recently...

But, you seem to be right, in that Inaho isn't getting a special mech, he's instead playing by a handicap (and doing better than the full time soldiers and strategist in their prettier mechs)...

It seems the human chances come for the knights pride, ego, and lust for glory. As such, more than the ones slain my Inaho should exist, from 15 ye0ars ago, but they covered that in episode 6 with the "Aldnoah". Which is unfair (sentient alien magic powers... tch), but a satisfying answer to why humans lag behind in war technology.

Though I have to wonder how Slaine uses the bomber, does it not run by use of Aldnoah? Is it only the knight's mechs, castles, and Mars? I guess the princess may have given him the power to control Aldnoah, but is that's the case she could do the same for Inaho, then they could hijack two knight's mechs and trow a party! (I'm jumping too far ahead of myself, ha ha ha).

The sky carrier does not use Aldnoah. The Aldnoah seems to be something like the GN Drives from 00 or the nuclear powered Gundam units from SEED.

Spoiler:
Trade is more or less unfeasible since the nobles who hold all the power absolutely despise humanity and the truce was little more than an declaration for neutrality, however judging from Rayet's appearance immigration was likely which could have spread technology by word of mouth. Well Aldnoah technology is pretty much worthless in the hands of Terrans as the activation genes showed. Much Martian technology actually exists today in theories or experiments for data, mass production means are unreachable by constraints such as work required or volatility but the difference is that Aldnoah somehow overcame those constraints. Dr.Troyard was Terran perhaps he has something to say on what technology they've acquired besides the Kataphrakts.

Well Inaho's special mech is the KG-6 Sleipnir, although calling it special might be an understatement considering it's softer plating and cumbersome(yet useful as shields) stabilizers. Maybe when he runs out of Trainers he'll get something else.

Aldnoah is magic fairy light right now, that should be remedied soon hopefully.

Spoiler:
Pretty sure they said that Sky carriers are only armed with missiles and cannons, so probably no Aldnoah drive? Well Slaine is a filthy Terran so they wouldn't trust him with it.

Thanks for clarifying that for me.

Spoiler:
Is it really possible to rule out Slaine can't use Aldnoah, he was able to use the teleportation/projection device, which I would assume, before anything else, would need it (faster than light transmissions... possible space folding?). And when he requested to go into battle, the reply didn't address Aldnoah but him being a filthy terrain.

I guess I'm wondering, have they clearly indicated what does and doesn't use Aldnoah, besides the mechs and castles, as of yet, and have I missed it?

I have this funny feeling that Slaine's father figured out something about Aldnoah even the Vers did not know and Slaine may know what that is. If they were keeping him alive for the princess, because they definitely don't like him, they could have killed him after she died, I figure.

Spoiler:
My guess is that anyone can use aldnoah powered machines, but only the royal family can manufacture aldnoah engines, and those are only given to the orbital knights.

Spoiler:
Terrans using Aldnoah drives, the Martians are going to love this. So now I wonder if there are any Terran Kataphrakt's using Aldnoah drives on the airborne carrier.

Rayet is deluded and a hypocrite. Expecting her to try and kill Asseylum or something nutty like that at some point.

With Inaho exploiting Asseylum for dat ass and Slaine taking a dip in the meanwhile, Lord Sasquatch will probably come up to Slaine and says that he wants to help him take Asseylum into protective custody to root out anyone else with knowledge of Asseylum's survival. Then immense douchebaggery commences.

Spoiler:
I think only those Knighted by wielders of Aldnoah can use Aldnoah drives. Why didn't the Terrans use more airborne Aldnoah carriers like the one shown in this episode or implement Aldnoah drives in the Kataphrakts? Even if the royal family are the only ones capable of creating Aldnoah drives, this episode proves that there were downed Kataphrakts leaving behind Aldnoah drives that the Terrans could have used. I waited an episode to respond because I had a feeling that going to Tangeshima would have something in the way of an answer to this.
