Anyway, I don't know if I'll follow this, Gundam and Eva are still my favourite /m/ shows (real and super respectively).

I was sold when it said Bones. Though the plot from what little I read might be a weaker point, but who knows for sure.

The plot was really confusing from the first episode alone, especially after introducing so many characters all aat once.

But damn, did it look and sound amazing either way. I'm definitely sticking around for this.

I Zord'd so hard when I saw the transformation sequence.

Eh it was alright for a pilot episode, they are probably burning enough money to scorch the Earth with that sort of deployment system. They probably break it down after every fight too.

I was expecting a lot more than what is shown from this series, I could settle for less of "Eureka Seven", but I was expecting something I could see as better than "Xam'd: Lost Memories". I enjoyed "Ao" more than I can enjoy this series. I've, lately, been trying to remember what's been established as of episode 7..

Episode 1-7

There are aliens, trapped in Saturn's gravity without energy for their ship, in which the energy can be extracted from humans. They somehow use humans to give them human bodies to settle in (I think).

There's a group of humans who want to use them.
A group of humans who want to stop them who are divided in how.

Daichi wanted to meet his friends again, and did.
Akira is dealing with divorced parents, but showing no deep emotional problems from.
Teppei seems to be the only one, in the main cast, attempting to overcome personal problems. Fighting what he is for what he wants against those he once called allies.
Hana... hmm... likes when everyones happy?

In 7 episodes, nothing seems to have change, other than Teppei and his convictions, but only slightly... (definitely by comparison to Renton).

The trailer really sold it as a much more grandiose series, with space seeming as this great grand factor/destination... but space is so cheapen in the series. If they need to jump into space, it only takes a few mins of perpetration to put someone out there.

Even with Ao, they took in more perspectives than the protagonist and his friends (in the first half). There's the protagonist group, his dad's friend, the bad guys, and the shadowy bad guys (as of 7). This series trows the ball rather straight, slow, and calmly... and I find that depressing, I expected something a lot more tense with a lot more conflict and controversy. Even the (emotional) pain the characters experience seems to juvenile (again, especially compared to Eureka Seven). I know I shouldn't compare so much to it, but I really expected this to erase Ao from my memory, Ao wasn't really bad, but it just never came close to living up to it's title (for me), which I felt like was a slander to the name as an attempt to piggy back off of Eureka Seven's fame and success.

I know there is a lot more show to air... But as of so far, I still haven't found a strong motivation/desire to watch it, often finding myself losing interest in the show as I watch it... hence my uncertainty of all the events that have occurred.
