I don't think I've seen a thread for this so here I go.

vndb summary:
Mihama Academy - on the surface, a closed learning environment established to nurture students who find themselves at odds with the world around them; in actuality, an orchard-cum-prison built to preserve fruit that has fallen too far from its tree.
Whatever the circumstances behind its establishment, Mihama Academy is at present home to five female students, all with their own reasons for "enrollment." For better or worse, each girl has established a routine obliging of her current situation; life moves at an idle, yet accommodating pace within the walls of Mihama.
Yet with the arrival of the institute's first male student, the nearly preposterously opaque Kazami Yuuji, the students at Mihama begin to fall out of step with their predetermined rhythms. Will Yuuji prove to be the element the girls around him needed to take hold of their lives once more, or will the weight of their pasts prove too steep a wall to overcome?
And in the first place, just who is Kazami Yuuji? While the true nature of the "job" he is wont to alight to at the most haphazard of moments remains shrouded in secrecy, one thing is for certain - his encroachment upon the quiet orchard known as Mihama Academy will prove itself momentous in one way or another. And of course, one cannot discount the possibility that perhaps Yuuji himself carries the weightiest past of any of the students...

I expected this adaptation to absolutely suck but after the first episode I'm REALLY impressed. The great part is that Grisaia no Kajitsu is so casual that anyone can pick it up even if they haven't read the eroge.
Half of the reason I was into Grisaia no Kajitsu was because the art, music and H scenes were PHENOMENAL so I was really glad that 2/3rds made it's way into the adaptation(3/3 is too much to ask for probably). The other half is that the characters are sodding perfect for a galgame setting, literally every heroine is sodding perfect and the way their routes unfold are almost poetic in galgame terms also the MC is goddamn cool probably one of the most bamf protagonists I've ever seen in a galgame. Last note the comedy is really damn good, GnK's cast have gust busting comedy segments. Magical girl Chiru-Chiru please. Man the waves of nostalgia are overwhelming.
So in terms of story I can look forward to Angelic Howl and probably Amane and Yumi's route as the main. Going to be fricking good.

Amane lives up to her slutinessreputation so far so I'd say 2.5/3.
BD can't come soon enough.

Yumiko probably. Altough I can see something unique happening.

Amane is a slut, she even says it's okay to be a slut if it's Yuuji, she is literally the perfect housewife. I am hyped for her route choice scene.
I don't know what BR you are referring to.

Yumiko probably. Altough I can see something unique happening.Yeah I'm imagining something like a harem route with extra attention given to Yumiko (especially since she's the default route if no one else's route is taken), which could mean Grisaia no Meikyuu. That could mean Grisaia no Rakuen, instantly making this adaptation a godsend. Maybe I'm aiming too high but the possibility is there.

I do agree with you that this was a surprisingly well made adaption. So far so good, though the massive black bars covering the tits are ugh....
I don't mind the friendly camera angles either.

I'm gonna read the VN before I continue with this one. By then perhaps the BDs would be out >_>

I can't help myself going back to the VN after finishing an episode.

It's common for heroines to die(or worse) in this Eroge and it's always incredibly tragic when it happens. Looking forward to it.
EDIT: New Episode, I felt it pretty strong but they glossed over important things. Also that Michiru theme song at the ending, loving that respect to the Eroge.

Well. I don't think I've wtf'd so hard after watching episode 6. I almost feel sorry for Yumi.

Kind of Important
A ray of Tsunlight.
They've omitted some things here and there already so far, but considering how long the game is to begin with, I guess it makes sense. If anything, this anime at least convinced me to go back and read the VN again.
That being said, it's kinda neat seeing everything animated, beyond the usual VN characters sprite things.

I almost feel sorry for Yumi.Yeah Yumiko's AoE was blehhhh but if you consider Yumi's two endings it's actually impossible to go on with the series using either of them faithfully, which is why I think Yumi should have gone last but Makina and Amane sort of have the same deal so I'm curious how that will go.
Meanwhile in the true ending.

Not a huge fan of the adaptation overall. It started off ok, but it just doesn't have enough episodes to do the game Justice.

In loving memory of Sachi
I can't say she's my favorite despite her rocking lace lingerie underneath her easily exploitable maid outfit but that episode was downright heartbreaking, in fact most of these adaptations of the Grisaia endings are pretty lackluster-I mean Grisaia is pretty so-so on it's endings but at least there was clarity. If someone is watching this anime without any knowledge from the VN they'll have no idea what is going on, hell even I don't know what is going on.

Didn't watch the episode yet but Sachi's route did the most to me emotionally.
