Kaori Fujimiya is always alone because all of her happy memories, including time spent with her friends, disappear every Monday. Deciding that he wants to be friends with her anyway, Yuuki Hase tries to get close to Kaori each week, wishing that she would one day call him "a friend."

As I'm currently studying this part of psychology, I am personally interested in how things would go between these two. Of course, the show wouldn't be as grim as the case studies on amnesia that I've read. I will like the series more if they would give a little more background about Fujimiya. I may pick up the manga after the series end.

Episode 1
Spoiler:
It was alright. Basically the whole premise of the story is being set up in place for the real things to come, just like most other first episodes. Not gonna complain though, because I like that boy. He got balls that I can say, and the ending of the first episode earned my respect for him. His friend reminded me of a lazy yet wise friend that I used to know. Can't wait to see how Hase will spend his week with Kaori.

I found it very hard to judge this series by the first episode. I just really don't have any particular feelings about it except pity. I will definitely keep watching, as I'm not sure how this dynamic is going to work out in the end. How can this possibly turn out well? TBD.

Ended up watching the first episode today and i really want to see how this goes now, cuz if this is done right there are going to be some really sad things to come.

The second episode was really good.

Spoiler:
The poster on her door, man. "Classmate Yuuki Hase is your friend!" Kill me now. I was extremely emotional from that point on. Let's see if this notebook is going to make things all the better or just worse.

Hopefully the show develops into a romance.

The manga seems to be labeled as one.

[spoil]Yeah the poster hit me for a minute and if i recall she ended writing some like "God Please" in the notebook. I say for one or two episodes the notebook is going to make things better but come episode 5 things are going to go very bad.

Episode 2
Spoiler:
This episode made me smile. And that diary seems to be a good thing for Fujimiya to "remember" what she did last week, though it must've been a little bit of a hassle to write everything down. Can't wait for the next episode.

Why the fuck was this on page 3? One of my favourites this season, just caught up.

Episode 6
Spoiler:
It was awesome them all getting to go to her house and meet her mother. Seems each week her memories are getting better. It also makes me really happy that people are speaking to her in class now, that's going to help out a lot in helping her remember too.

Episode 6
Spoiler:
I understand the mom's position very well, since my sis would always talk to my mom too about her friends and stuff. That plan to make Fujimiya and Shougo friends failed without even a try. And it's about time they revealed the source of her amnesia, though there's still the unanswered question of why did she cross the road. Probably to get to the other side. Hehehehe...I just can't hold myself from saying it.[/h]

A nice episode overall.

I think i'm gonna watch this when its finished.

Episode 8
Spoiler:
Of course, in every school life anime, there has to be something about beaches and fireworks. Though it was funny about how Saki would still want to play at the beach even though the weather was terrible. The backgrounds in this episode are fantastic, like the sunset scene and the fireworks scene. Shougo's been pretty active in this episode, asking how does Fujimiya feel about Hase as well as pushing Hase to confess his feelings. It is as if he himself wanted to see something else to develop between them other than just friendship. I wonder if Fujimiya actually knows the feeling of liking someone, that is like close to loving someone other than your family because she seems pretty oblivious to how she actually feels towards Hase. The new character at the end of the episode though...looks like things aren't going to go well for Hase in the next episode.

To be honest, I can't decide for you since you may hold a different opinion on this anime. Of course this isn't some anime where you'd expect explosions or incest or even a robot who dominates the ping pong world. Anyway, if you're into a little of a slice of life and character developments as well having a certain level of tolerance for the naive nature of the anime, then do continue watching it whenever you feel like it. Despite the fact that not many people post in here, I am certain that a lot of people do watch this anime and like it as well since I did talk with some of them about this.

Episode 9 comment coming soon.

I will watch basically everything except super long running shows. Is it anything like, say, spice and wolf, clannad, or something like that? because i love stuff like that.

Episode 9:
Spoiler:
The transfer student always starts stuff. Back to square one for Hase. Fujimiya is so pure it hurts. I can't believe Kiryu was that nice to Saki. Developments between those two would make me start the manga.

You're gonna have to ask someone else on that, because I haven't watch both of those anime that you mentioned, though I could assume that both anime have romance in it as well as tearjerking moments if that is what you're into. Some people did say that there are certain parts in some episodes which brought them to at least a teary eye probably. Romance might be in this, but it's still too early to say even though there's like a few episodes left.

Ah I really like this anime~ I saw a lot of posts of it before it was airing (from PV and manga) I think all the characters are so cute and I hope there will come some romance development~

Episode 9
Spoiler:
I knew something bad will happen when she meets that guy. But let's get to the beginning first. Sorta surprised that Shougo has something for Saki, and he smiled at the end when Saki thanked him. I can see that these two will get along very well after this episode. Also, Fujimiya remembering Hase bit by bit hints that she's starting to fall in love with him. Though at the end of the episode her memory of everything that had happen after she became friends with Hase are gone just like that. Looks like Hase has to start from scratch again, with the new guy as a contender.

Not as popular as I expected but I don't really care about everybody else. This anime is amazing!

Most romantic anime these days has to come with comedy, action, etc. But this is just romance. I love it
