[Anime] Kokoro Connect

Episode 8:

For all of you who care, apparently there has been some bullying involved with the Voice Actors of Kokoro Connect, namely targetted at Mitsuhiro Ichiki, a voice actor auditioning for a role in the anime. The company producing the anime and the voice actors played a prank on Ichiki by giving him false lines during the audition, and denying him a role in the anime.

I don't have a concrete source, this is just a bunch of information compiled together in English, however, there is a lot of talk about it in several 2ch sites and there is a youtube video of ustream, which broadcasted the prank.

I personally believe this is cruel and unjust treatment to Ichiki since he was denied a role and forced to be a laughingstock infront of everyone playing the prank on him.

EDIT: If anyone here can understand Japanese, can you provide more insight on the video please? I do not understand the specifics.

That is fucking unbelievable. What a bunch of dicks. What did they gain from doing that to someone?

They probably enjoy being supercilious, when you bully someone, it promotes that feeling inside oneself, kinda fucked up.

I really hope this isn't a common thing that all anime studios do. That was horrible, I feel so bad for the poor guy.

Also, everybody should read this for more on the Kokoro Connect incident. This whole thing sounds like a bullying plot that would happen in an anime. It's sad that this kind of thing actually happened in real life and was made public. It's gonna be hard watching Aoki talk now, considering the guy who voices him is kind of a jerk.

I'm angry as well, but unfortunately, I don't think I can stop watching the show even though people have been giving their earnest efforts to boycott :/

wow I'm glad that Tomokazu Sugita was being a bro to Ichiki, my friend told me he saw his name on the involved list. Proud that he is still one of the best VA I know.

Yeah I'm actually really enjoying the show as well. It just sucks that some of the people involved with the show would do something like this. The whole incident seems so childish and unprofessional. I really hope Ichiki recovers from this and finds a good role somewhere.
