[Anime] Medaka Box

You're telling me. The artwork is still topnotch, even if they story is lacking a bit. But the emotion is really well conveyed.

But I'm once again disappointed that it's going to be Medaka going aging King instead of Zenkichi. His main character role got stolen. All he does is support Medaka now. Such a shame. I want to see another battle like the one he got into with the 'infinte hammer-space' guy. But how about a battle where the guy actually wants to kill him?

And is it just me or is Medaka going to be as powerful as Goku before the manga ends. I mean holy shit, now she has auto-pilot, infinite-hammerspace, and King's mind control? Well that along with her already impossibly high intelligence, supersonic speed and ridiculous strength that can literally move an entire wing of the school? Oh and her Perses mode too.

But it's still nice to see. Medaka almost end up like Kumagawa. She learned his way of believing anything and everything is meaningless, but she was saved my Zenkichi. Makes you wonder what's the deal with Zen. There's no doubt that he's abnormal as well. He's got the same AB bloodtype as all other abnormals, the code to the door changed to his birthday and he managed to stand up to Medaka's weighted words (Just cause he say's he's been taking orders from her for ages does not count).

And a quick spoiler for the later chapters. DON'T OPEN IF YOU DON'T WANT TO KNOW:

her return to normal was a bit anticlimactic, but at least now the story can move along...

so in the end it's always the old enemy that turns out to be the ultimate enemy...

well...they didn't actually said that they were killed yet, considering that Maguro saved a human who's heart has been pierced, anything can happen now

but this looks like too much for them. Since some of them has their heads pierced.

I don't believe any of them are actually dead. They were all actually pierced in roughly the same areas. Some panels are quite misleading though. But I believe they were all pierced through the shoulder, their arms, legs and stomach area. Nowhere that is immediately fatal.

And here are a couple more spoilers from the forums of onemanga. Not sure if I can remember them correctly.

Holy fucking shit. I really feel bad for the scanlator. Every fucking chapter seems to have even more speaking than the last one. Dear fucking lord.

Kumagawa is quickly becoming one of my favourite villains. So twisted.

Nisioisin loves creating tons of oddball, dark and violent, and god-level characters.

Anyway, Kumagawa is a hard guy to read. He is a compulsive liar. For him to have that girl in his "heart", it makes me wonder if he really hates her or if that was a lie and he really loves her.

Well he did rip off her face...so I guess he hates her? He also doesn't seem to like Zen much and she was apparently his girlfriend.

End of the grand battle coming, Kumagawa is gonna be vice prez you think?

This manga got too weird and serious, the first few chapters where it was Medaka acting really weird and Hitoyoshi getting picked on by Shiranui were the best. They made it too much of a battle manga and strayed too far from the original comedy.

Its still kind of cool, but its almost like two different manga, one was a regular (ish) school comedy, the other is this weird battle manga between geniuses and... the other guys.

I am beyond lost. What the hell is happening?

Possibly. If Medaka can "reform" him, she'd certainly like him to be the VP.



People like you just don't get it, it was always a battle manga. There was fighting as far back as chapter 5.



If you don't read it and don't think for your self, you're not going to get it even if I explain it to you.

I realise its a battle manga but that wasn't the majority of it, there was alot more talking and less fighting before. Now all the talking gets done while fighting and its the weird super powers that seem to have appeared in the form of the minuses that I was referring to really. I miss Medaka mimicking people behind their backs too... that was weird but that was the point wasn't it? Medaka is almost the most normal character in the manga now and her being strange was the whole point of the story to begin with. I'm not saying it isn't good but its changed a hell of a lot since its start is all.

Bloodywind likely knows whats going on but thinks it makes no sense. Its rather rude to say he doesn't think for himself. (or maybe he is just slow ^^)

I'd be more tolerant if those comments didn't sound very much like the kind of stuff I was hearing from people on other forums starting 60 chapters ago. We are well past the point where people should be saying "the earlier chapters were the best". I mean, this is a Weekly Shounen Jump series like all the others. The writer is basically making crap up as he goes because there's no way to properly plan a story with such a schedule without having everything planned out from the beginning.
