[Anime]Shingeki no Kyojin/ Attack on Titan

Episode 5
Spoiler:
Man, there are some things in this episode took me by surprise. The first thing is the Colossal Titan's disappearance. It's mindblowing for something so huge to vanish that quickly. I believe they will explain it somewhere in the future episodes. The other thing is the appearance of another type of titan. I thought the Colossal Titan and Armored Titan are bad enough, but this one can fucking jump. And then, there's the deaths of some characters. I don't mind one or two to die. But most of the people in Eren's party died quickly. And Eren, I can't believe he got swallowed by the titan that was about to eat Armin. I expected some battle between them, instead it was a one-sided battle. The titans are just too strong, or maybe the team aren't that skillful. I wonder how the elite force will handle them. I hope Eren crawled out of the titan one way or the other. Looking forward to the next episode.

Ep 5
I'm surprised at the number of people's reaction to this episode. I'm guessing they themselves have not done the honor of reading the manga, oh well. They'll be on par with us soon enough.
Spoiler:
It's not like the manga is that much farther from this show anyways, we're still left with so little information.

Episode 5

Spoiler:
2 minutes of opening, 18 minutes of talking, 4 minutes of fighting, then 2 more minutes of ending and a preview, they sure know how to drag on a series, ive already been spoiled to a lot of it so its losing its appeal kind of fast.

You know...fuck it. I wanna see this damn thing play out anyway. Even if I did get spoiled(And spoiled everything else by going to Tv Tropes). Frigging show has its hooks in me or something.

Spoiler:
This isn't Bleach/Naruto/Dragon Ball Z, that perpetuates combat by having characters become a few percentage points more serious than their opponent during the duration of a fight, which, in turn, drags the fight on for episodes. Breaking up a min of combat for dialogue that details the previous min of fighting. (In which neither character is in mortal danger till the conclusion) Real fights don't last long, especially when they're one sided.

I don't mention anything specific but give an overview of the kind of environment the creator is trying to express. IMO

Spoiler:
Exactly, this show demonstrates people who trow their lives into the improving their body/combat abilities through arduous, efforts that even entails death, in hopes to be able to kill these things to so easily lose all that effort and die. They are unstoppable monsters that takes an entire group to kill one. That no matter how hard they try, they can not win one-on-one. True terror, true hopelessness, true futility.

Some atmosphere is missing due to the omitted violence (feels unexpectedly morbid when I forget the manga). The sheer brutality of how they kill really adds to environment and the cruelty of the Eotenas (Titans).

Opinion on Episode 5... Having voices and music, and watching the characters move... Makes it feel like I'm seeing it for the first time. I love everything, outside my usual complaint.

I'd call her overprotective, not yandere.

Seriously this is the only anime I'm paying attention and making time for, it's bloody fantastic. Hope to get round to reading the manga at some point still.

Extra pic, that Titan at the end of the last episode looks a bit like Richard Stallman, and Santa

Episode 6
Spoiler:
Not bad for a flashback episode, we pretty much learn Eren isn't afraid of killing other humans even from at a young age and how Mikasa became such a headstrong character, those two had been through some tough times. Bring on the next episode already.

Episode 6.
Spoiler:
And that's one of the reasons I undropped this show. Cause they even make the typical tragic backstory fun. What with kids going around slicing up fuckers like Jason on an average Friday. And, as I called even before I was spoiled, Franz. Homeboy shouldn't have made that promise...

Episode 6

Spoiler:
the look Eren had on his face after closing the door was priceless, they handled that scene pretty well, but I think the Titans just keep getting funnier. I caught up with the manga today as well, crazy stuff.

Spoiler:
The part where Hannah was trying to revive Franz, couldn't really see what had happened, and probably wouldn't have realized it if I didn't read the manga.

and just a general FYI, manga updated.
