Asobi Ni Iku Yo

I liked how we finally find out why an isolated branch of the Japanese government could have a technologically advanced skinsuit. And then there's the safety mechanisms on the power suits; "can't harm Dogs" and "can't use when in heat". The latter being particularly appropriate since no one really wants to have their pelvis crushed while fucking.

If I thought Asobi was a smarter anime than it was, I would think the whole Kio-cloning situation as being a subtle narrative on how all male leads are very much alike. And additionally, I would consider the Manabi-and-Kio-clone situation as a narrative on how the audience projects themselves on said male leads.

On another note, I liked seeing Miss "Beautiful Contact" back again and her commenting on the un-alienness of the Catians and promptly being ignored. Also, Elis' mating season is over since it would probably be a PR nightmare if she wound up raping Kio in public. I also liked how Manabi's character was further developed using the Kio-clone for her to project her feelings on. She wants Kio to want her, yet she also has some misplaced guilt.

I, too, was glad that Maki showed up again, and I hope that she continues to do so for the rest of the series. I was a bit sad when Eris had to stop her mating season, however, but it's probably for the best, and, like you said, she would probably rape him in public.

I also liked Manami's development, and how she thought Kio perceived their relationship. Maybe one day she will be able to put all of that guilt aside and have a better relationship with him. Although, she is pretty busy with getting Aoi with Kio, but that's also probably due to her insecurities.

The stimulation room with Chaika was very amusing, though, and it was interesting to learn that the Catheains used it in order to satisfy their mating urges. ^_^

I did, however, enjoy the swimsuits, especially with the girls having to deal with Eris's tail hole. I also really liked Aoi in this episode, and how she confronted Eris about her feelings. I really hope that by helping Kio get stronger that their relationship will get stronger as well. And, it seems that Manami has given up on Kio completely, but it's a mature decision and I respect her for that.

I loved it. There's also some nice details that are fairly easy to miss like how Elis, the rich girls, and the maids were wearing uniforms different from what Aoi and Manami were wearing.

... Wait. Wasn't it mentioned that Manani was a little older than Kio? If that's really the case, then why would she be in the same class as Kio?

I wonder who Ichika is though. She's wearing a hat, which seems to indicate that she might be an alien, but neither alien species recognized her. If she's human, I would imagine that she's a Western/Tao magician.

I really loved the rivalry between Manami and Aoi, and I was glad that they were able to duel it out with each other. It was cute that Manami made Aoi call Koi "Kio-kun," and I laughed when Kio didn't notice. I also cannot wait for the dvds because of this episode, and I especially loved it when Aoi and Manami basically shoot the two enemies' clothing off. I hope that comes up more often.

As for next week's episode? I'm not sure what to make of it except that maybe the gang is headed to space, or is going to launch an assist droid out into space? What do you guys think?

of course I wanna see more of Manami and Aoi character build and the two make a great combo. Just the lack of Eris lines and screen time did get me a little down. Don't get me wrong I still enjoyed this episode, just I felt like there could have been more. I just didn't laugh as much this week.
