Nell is hot and strong and all but I'm wondering why notoria who is only ranked number 5 was able to sneak up on her and smack her around like that in those flashbacks.

Definatly one of the better additions to the cast.
I think the reason she got beat so easily was she didnt consider him a threat or the shock of seeing the others beat down gave him an opening. As it isnt like once your mask is broke there's much room for survival. Just look at the rapid change in power from normal to chibi nell.

I just hope that eventually she can stay in her true form permmenently, because her losing all her power in the middle of a fight is going to get pretty annoyig inf it starts happening regularly.
