I am also under the impression that it is 20+ something episodes.

I agree. I hope that amidst the tragedy they can give the overall feel of "it's going turn out out okay in the end" so the viewers have something to smile about.

I'm hoping she lives and doesn't turn out something like the movie ending, which wasn't bad, but Nagisa still dies in that version.

All this talk about what they might do is scaring me, I mean I love it when a Visual/Key Arts anime makes me cry, but at the same time I am crying so I am saddened by what happening.

Even if Nagisa dies, I hope KEY will do something to make it sound like everythings alright (like the one from the movie. It was a really beautiful scene)
