Cowboy Bebop

Cowboy Bebop, classic anime and in fact one of the best ones out there. After finally finishing the series a few hours ago. I got to say, if you haven't watched this then you have no excuse not to!! Story, characters, humor, plot in every episode all balanced out. Although this predates Gintama if I was to describe it then it would be if Jump COmics became bankrupt and Gintoki became a bounty hunter.

When I first saw this thread I freakin said to myself that there's no way in hell no one has created a thread for this series yet!? So I immediately looked over the master list and to my surprise, there's nothing!
which neither gives you much of an excuse yourself... What took you? The heck did you only finish it now?! It's almost like implying that you're not any different to those who haven't seen this series yet.
Anyways, COWBOY BEBOP is NO DOUBT ONE OF THE GREATEST ANIMES EVER CREATED IF NOT THE GREATEST OF ALL TIME. No exaggerations! It really IS and STILL IS even after 10-11 years now since it first came to be. Hell, even its musical score is EPIC! :D
[size=11]This song here has been stuck with me.. the most influential Japanese song/composition to me, ever.[/h]
Also, VICIOUS! - They really need to make another movie or an OVA series that will focus more on his perspective or at least his and Spike's past with Julia and the syndicate. Seriously!
+Rep for making this thread.

Curious and Wondering
I actually liked Yoko Kanno as a musical composer when I finished watching Cowboy Bebop. He's like the jazz-and-blues counterpart of Yuki Kajiura, IMO.
But I was more drawn to Steve Conte's songs in the soundtrack than Mai Yamane. Both were great, but I liked Steve Conte's more, especially "Call Me Call Me" and "Rain" ^_^
Hell, Cowboy Bebop's got a thread up until now? Seriously... but I have to agree with hermitVI. Cowboy Bebop made anime cool again in the 90's. That's why it's influential.

And don't just go forgetting about SEATBELTS!
Most importantly Emily Bindiger's "Adieu"

Sad fact: Keanu Reeves is going to be in the coming up Space Cowboy movie.Yea I saw that when I was researching whether I should watch the movie or not. And to my surprise KEanu reeves is fucking Spike. They can't pull this off. Spike is very GAR and Keanu Reeves is neutral most of the time.
And yea, sorry it took me so long to finally finish Bebop seeing I have heard very positive things about it and never got my schedule to start the series but now that I have finished I think I got a little teary eye when Spike...

Also I couldn't beleive we haven't gotten ourselves a cowboy bebop forum yet. I did read the forums list and I was like..you gotta be kidding me

Cowboy Bebop is a classic! ~~
I loved that show too, especially the ending. v.v
Funny thing is that most people who dislike anime just tend to like this one a little bit. Maybe it's just that this show has so much western influences in it, mostly the music.

I'm always for discussing one of the truly best animes in existence but alas ... we already have a topic about it. Seems Zeriam missed it on his list.
Someone sees a mod, make him merge the two.
edit/ we sure have some fast ass mods around here ^_^
Most likely so. Both the setting and style are free of any Japan-heavy elements that would make them hard to digest for a wider public. The music itself is pretty much and existence of it's own and if you appreciate good music you'll appreciate this. Also people are usually drawn to classics making them overcome a potential reluctance they would otherwise display towards anime. Shows like CB, Evangelion, etc thus provide a great service to the genre as a whole since they're often the first ones a soon_to_be otaku experiences.

Not that easy to choose but I'd either go for ep 5 due to the final scene of Spike falling out of the church window (dear god that's done well) or ep 20 with the crazy ass killer pierrot.

Does anyone know the episodes that these two quotes are from? I'm making a video of my favorite inspirational anime quotes and I want to include the scenes for them. If you can provide me with the episode to even one of them I'll put you in the credits for the video.
