do you watch anime legally?

I pirate. I used to buy box sets, but it is too damn expensive. I'd rather spend the money on other goods and not the dvds (and that goes for manga, too).

I do what I want, 'cause a pirate is free.

Why isn't there a both option? I buy DVD's if I like the anime so much but most of time I stream or torrent.

I watch mostly licensed anime on Crunchyroll, especially when they have a library of some old popular anime. Except, they don't have One Piece, which throws me off completely.

But then again, since One Piece isn't on CR, I end up watching it illegally or finding a DL for it.

I bought a few box sets in Japan of [NGE] on sale, and it still came up to around $145 US Dollars. Completely outrageous on prices, but if you want it, you have to give something up for it. Like precious money... hard earned money that could of paid a weeks worth of food for myself.... but now its just dvds.... not even blu-rays...

If I wasn't bleeding poor, I'd probably considering buying the licensed stuff.

I used to watch illegal, but now I'm on the straight and narrow. I realized that it was hurting the industry if you watch and download illegally, so now I'm totally legal. I also buy all my hard copies directly from the source, ie, funimatiln, rather than from amazon or right stuf

Depends on the anime, if I hear good things about it, I'll be legal, if it's not the best anime i'll pirate.

So,
both, both is good.

Pirate. Online order are making bought things too tedious for me and mailing isn't really the safest thing in the country seeing as they puncture your box hoping there's money inside so I'm not risking that.

Got some legally and some not so legally :)

Sadly i'm a pirate
living in a third world country is pretty hard
the shipping itself could cost more than the anime itself
so no other choice than to sail the high seas. On the other hand, if i could ever find a decent job I could start buying anime that I really WANT as a form of support to the anime industry itself

I usually torrent my anime; however, if it is something I really like, I usually buy the blu-ray box when it is release in the US.

I pirate.
Besides, the DVD's available here are bad rip-offs from translated works.

I stream. Inb4qualityfags jump on me like it's a sin to not care about quality.

I only torrent if I really like it and I know I'm going to watch it again, but generally I won't.

There's only so much anime us Brits have access to. I've had a look. The only ones are the more popular ones like Bleach, One Piece, DBZ and Squid Girl.
