You all realize that petitions won't work in this case, right?
If a series doesn't bring in enough money or the company that makes it doesn't think they can profit from continuing it, it won't get made.

You can't just petition one person: making a show involves lots of people, steps, and companies who have to approve oversight. If there is no money from the first season to create a second, production can't even begin.

We need more Durarara! this series is too good to be ended in just one season..

Agreed but japanese have different taste in anime than us -_- good anime is just to sort sometimes -_-

I think it got pretty good feedback from Japanese too. But, making a sequel is difficut, I know. People hoping that they would get as good as the fist season, and when it don't meet their expectation, they'd just rage over it.
