Ef~ A Tale of Memories
0
Based on an adult visual novel, Ef~ A Tale of Memories, on the surface, appears to be another anime of the romance genre. However, looking beyond the romance, one would find the the storyline complex, jumping from one character to another, with no clear relationship indicated. For most of my anime topics, I will usually provide a short synopsis, but for this very one, I would prefer to keep you in suspense, which I believe is the aim of the producers too.
Apart from the complex and ever-changing scenarios, Ef~ A Tale of Memories can be considered a beautiful and artistic series. No, I am not talking about how the characters are drawn (though it is definitely on par with other excellent titles); but rather, how silhouettes and sceneries are used to protray the mood of a particular scene. In addition, a tinge of fantasy can be found throughout each episode.

Although the series is soon coming to an end, fans will definitely await the second game slated to appear on the market in 2008.

I wish I had seen this topic a few weeks ago. At first I wasn't sure about this series but it really picked up for me in later episodes. The last episode came out a few days ago and I still have a few episodes left to watch, which I am excited about.
And I had no idea it was based on an adult game.

This is one anime that I Like. It's alittle bit abstract, but it gives a certain art in the anime especially in Chihiro and Renji arc, it's the most heartbreaking and heart touching from all three stories.

Asou Renji is in my top favorites. This show was so awesome!!! the animation is spectacular and the story got so intense by the end it almost made me hyperventilate..
The Chihiro x Renji part of the story is seriously kickass. they did some nifty effects with shadows and angles and these effects really amplify the impact of the story/situation..
I want to go on and on about all the parts I loved but it seems like people haven't finished watching it and I don't want to spoil.. =(

I've just finished watching it and just like a good book I just couldn't put the damn thing away. The plot was extremely suspenseful and simply amazing. I'm gunna go see if I can find an english version of the game, but this is truly an underrated anime and deserves more attention.

Wah! So little replies! This series deserves alot more attention. Only thing you need to know is that it will make you cry and makes a great tearjerker with satisfaction.

I downloaded this on an impulse a few weeks back, after seeing the episodes out on the same page I was fetching some other anime, but became unsure of whether or not I'd watch it after getting it.
Haven't seen too many animes of the romance genre, but after reading all these positive comments, I'll give it a shot and make it my next project.
