Elfen Lied

This series isn't a masterpiece, psh, it's something better.
I think that the main reason I love this series is the mix of tragedy, love, thought, and violence all justify each other. By saying that, I mean that all parts have some indirect or direct correlation to the development of the story, and not just some random shit you toss into the bucket(the problem with a lot of ecchi manga is precisely that). This series is 99% perfect. The 1% being taken away just because nothing can be perfect in my reviews. :)

when i saw the first episode of the anime, i was hooked. great story, AMAZING AMOUNTS OF GORE, BOOBS, and HOTTT incest. ever sence then, not many series could measure up. BUT i do agree it could have ended better. but soon im going to add elfen lied to my massive manga collection along with chibi vampire (karin)..

Eh, manga is only worth buying if it is really THAT good. The manga version's of biggest flaw is the art. It was jsut really inconsistent and most of it looked really mediocre and below majority of teh time.

Its Not the best anime out there. But its damn good. I think it suffers from Frankenstein syndrome a little bit too much, but thats fine as its done well.

It has a lot of replay value so go out and buy it. I got the boxset for 20 bucks...so I know its worththe price.

I love the anime. I haven't started on the manga because I honestly don't know. I guess get to it after I catch up on Gantz. Anyways, I loved the anime's story and artwork. A definite must watch.

I would say that this is one of the best anime series that I have ever watched. It is a shame that the series was so short. However, almost all the manga chapters have been translated into English for those who can't read Japanese. :cry: I am just amazed that it has taken this long for the fan translation.

The manga is okay in story but the art I hihgly dislike. I enjoy the backgrounds done in cg but wished the chracter designs were better. At first all the crying made me annoyed but then it's supposed to drag you into the story. Like you can't help but feel sorry for the chracters after seeing their story. Still Elfen lied is a masterpiece.

I'm just waiting for a season 2... A FULL season, thank you very much. None of that 13-episode bullshit.

if they do series 1+2 in one series they will fuck it up i have seen it done before with an anime can't remember which one but it was crap

but i do hope they make another series seeing as i can't buy the manga where i live ... in other words no shop that i know of sells manga near me

I remember when I first bumped into this anime.....

It was back when Veoh had almost nothing but GOOD fap matereal anime, I was up at about 10:00 at night looking for something worth fapping to and I bumped into Elfen Lied, I thought it was gonna be some bullshit about elves, then in the first couple of minutes I was HOOKED........You can probably imagine what its like to be looking for something to fap to and bump into THIS specific anime...... when Lucy ripped that chick's head off I was like "OH MY GOD HOLY SHIT WHAT THE FUCK?!?!"....... I did't sleep all night.....

Cuz I stayed up watching it...... duh............ Oh, and it was the UNCUT version.......

.....Yeah the ending WAS pretty fucked up, with the little girl and the dude...... I especially liked episode 4...... with the fingers and the dismemberment......... AWESOME!!!!!!

Nana is a cute character.........Batou is an awesome dude!!!!! and Lucy is well...... Lucy.......
