I would have to say that they're all equally fucked up, but my vote goes to Asuka because she goes psycho near the end and a traumtic childhood past.

Coincidentally, my answer is "all of the above".

Well, Shinji is able to come to terms with how he's fucked up, Rei doesn't matter too much, and Asuka goes batshit crazy, so my vote goes to Asuka.
