[General] Favorite otaku in anime

The otaku character archetype is something we can pretty much relate to. It doesn't have to be just into anime as seen with Kohta Hirano from HOTD.

Tatsuhiro Satō (Welcome to the NHK)- If anyone has seen this anime and you're an otaku or somewhat of one, you can relate to one of the characters in a way. This guy is off his rocker. He tries to find a way out of his Hikki status but ends up back in it anyway. He even deletes his system32 folder to make more room for porn. That's dedication.

Itaru "Daru" Hashida from Steins;Gate is one of the more prominent ones.

He is a slightly larger man (ok, fat), and his image fits into the otaku stereotype. But what makes him different is his attitude, personality and intelligence. He is really rational and stuff.

Anyway, my favourite is definitely Sato from NHK,like you OP. One of the few anime characters that I can truly relate and connect to.

Tomoko's timidness in public and Switch's passion to science are one of the things I can relate to.

My favorite would be the same as yours OP. Tatsuhiro Satō takes the cake.

Haven't had - time, to watch Lucky Star yet. With the load of unwatched anime I'm carrying and the fact that Lucky Star isn't priority. It may take to next year, minimum, for me to watch it. However I have done a little sneak peek, and watched the OP. And I have to say it was really catchy.

You got that right.
Lucky Star is great and definitely a must see when you get around to it. Konata is probably the most famous otaku character.
