The anime Jinki will be adapted into it's own Eroge under the title Jinki Extend: Revision.

Sounds like a great idea. The only problem I have is that it ruins the purity of the series. Though there are doujnshi of this series, having an official eroge puts on the image of a 18+ only audience and is then deemed inappropriate.

That's not such a bad idea, however I hope they fix the execution this anime. I watched the original not too long ago and remember how disjointed and abysmal it was in terms of plot direction. Since they using the word "Revision", I'm hoping they do more than add Eroge content, but guess it is interesting to say the least.

I third this statement. Animes that get erogenized are awesome, but if they lose the original art it takes away from the experience so I agree that they should keep the original artwork... changing the drawings ruins the purpose =P

SC seems to tell the truth ... through the same lens that the mass media does. In other words, filter out the bias and exaggerations, and you have the truth. Usually.

On topic, I wouldn't expect this to become much of a trend. Now that it's started, you can expect some others to follow, but once people realize that popular properties benefit the most from going into hentai-mode, it will fade away.

Either this is something pretty unique happening or Jinki is the equivalent of a washed up actress doing porn. Of course if it was a show I personally loved, I would hate to see my favorite characters in it.

Now this is what I like to ask. :D

Why aren't you happy knowing that facts that:
1. you're the protagonist
2. you have a chance to get deeply involved romantically with a character you like.
3. Being an eroge doesn't mean that it drops into mindless-sex-a-thon

I enjoyed the anime, and hearing about this pleased me much, however I am wondering how similar or not this ero adaptation will be. During my time watching the series I did get a little lost sometimes, what with the changing in location time line etc
