I bought this anime in full for cheap as hell. Heard it was epic. Anyone have any input?

I remember seeing this a few times in the EARLY EARLY morning on Cartoon Network. Don't really remember what I thought about it.

Let me know how it turns out.

I picked it for cheap as well, and let me tell you: Giant Robo is epic in every sense of the word. It's a tribute to Mitsuteru Yokoyama (the Grandfather of Mecha), creating a new story using ideas and characters pulled from his works. And let me tell you, it's a hell of a story, packed full of drama, suspense, action, a dash of comedy, and enough plot twists to snap your neck. And that's to say nothing of the imaginative heroes and villains. In my opinion, it's the greatest unappreciated OVA of all time, if not the greatest in general. I'm only complaint is that it's set in media res, and since Yokoyama has died it's doubtful there will ever be a prequel or sequel.
